Bought this a month or so ago. Not as good as I hoped a record would be with Hiseman/Argent/Mole on it, but not too bad.
I listened to it immediately after you posted it. Recording plays older than 2004!! I think most of the songs are happy and cheerful, uplifting for sure. Dinosaur Fandango, City Streets and I like the vocals on Bad Talk..overall it has a place!! Feels much older, felt like 80s or before..the vibe is sort of TV or movie soundtrack..

Your ears don't deceive you. It is from the 80s. 2004 must be the date of a re-issue.
I remember thinking about recordings from the 1980s that were absolutely sterilized in production, never a stray sound, on squeaky, slide on a guitar fret!! It had its place!!
Been wrestling with some Xmas present wrapping, my main man Bach always comes through though just to calm the nerves.

How many covers are there? The one I'm familiar with the most are The Romantics' version, which was also huge back in the 80s.
If the lead singer's hair was a little shorter he'd look a bit like Rick Allen from Def Leppard.
