I'm sure this won't be well received by everyone, but engaging rock music is made by people in their 20s and 30s; unlike cycling and other physical endeavors where it's possible to extend the envelope of performance, compelling aesthetics aren't strictly a matter of mechanical capacity and take an engagement with the world that hasn't been sanitized by the perceived conformities of age. Generally they mount a direct challenge to the latter. Branded tours aren't that.

But hey, if one wants to stand in an arena watching a blow up screen of a 90 year old Mick yowling "Satisfaction", why not? Although it could be argued that memory is a part of the human condition best taken on its own terms rather than pimped out as an excuse for living.
