I'm sure this won't be well received by everyone, but engaging rock music is made by people in their 20s and 30s; unlike cycling and other physical endeavors where it's possible to extend the envelope of performance, compelling aesthetics aren't strictly a matter of mechanical capacity and take an engagement with the world that hasn't been sanitized by the perceived conformities of age. Generally they mount a direct challenge to the latter. Branded tours aren't that.

Have to be old enogh to challenge something too

But hey, if one wants to stand in an arena watching a blow up screen of a 90 year old Mick yowling "Satisfaction", why not? Although it could be argued that memory is a part of the human condition best taken on its own terms rather than pimped out as an excuse for living.

@Jag, they were heavy back in the day.

I like Judas Priest's newest album. I think it is their best since Painkiller.

US Girls, "Velvet 4 Sale"

Amen Dunes, "Blue Rose"

I heard some random new Priest the other day that sounded ok. I'd have to say that I honestly haven't paid much attention to them since British Steel. That had partly to do with cultural differences between school children.

The Priest was followed by some contemporary band with a young guy doing Halfordesque vocals and much less processed, just off--synch rhythm guitars. I'd be interested to track that down.

Just out of curiosity, how many people click on the links provided?
The fact I think about these things probably makes me one of the most boring people on earth.
Who knows, who cares?

If they wish to click upon a link they will do so, right?

Btw., I must say it would be very good if your music link had some sort of a description rather than just some sort of a whatever link.

Sorry. Just asking.

Do you watch RuPaul's Drag Race at all? Not that you need to, btw....

There's some young NYC queen competing on the show who is supposed to be the edgiest in punk and ***... pretty sure it's all been done before given the vid you had posted! (Don't let the young Aquaria stans know that, though, that would probably upset their little world too much.)
