Early Katatonia albums are flawless, but the later ones up to the great cold distance still have their moments, they lost me after that album.

Lol. I saw Fear at Fenders in 1984 or 1985. I think they made it 4 or 5 songs before the riot started. If Lee Ving didn’t want to be there he was really good at starting a fight.

Good old days....

Candy Apple Grey felt like Joy Division with a bit of gain thrown in and Warehouses was a much more polished production and lost a lot of the edge that the earlier records had, a bit like a tidied up Flip Your Wig. New Day Rising seems to hit the sweet spot of their sound.

Everything with RHCP right now basically, been on a huge trip lately, particular the albums Stadium Arcadium, By the Way and Californication. Wanna listen to some of their never stuff again I think, but it can't be as a good as prime RHCP. Blood Suger Sex Magik is a great album as well, but in doses as its a bit too much funk for my taste.

Never had the pleasure...they didn't frequent North Carolina...but I've heard stories...

BSSM is prime RHCP. Perhaps, if you give it more listens you will start to appreciate it

I know it is, was referring to the new stuff which isn't. Basically, everything with Frusciante is prime. ;)

And I don't know. There obviously are a few really, really good songs, but not too fond of some of the funk/alternative stuff on that album. Under the Bridge and I Could have Lied are some of my favourites tho!
