until he died he played here one day a week for a $15 dollar cover charge. This place is on Broadway in the 50's..John Lennon was killed and lived in the 60's short walk ,was said to sit and listen. Kevin Bacon was there a night I enjoyed. But many famous folks,Jeff Lynn, Eric Clapton, ect were said to have stopped there for a drink and hear him play..I went a few times..don't get me wrong I was grinning seeing Kevin Bacon..but I would have been levels happier to see Mark Knopfler or George Benson sit in with Les Paul

Maybe some of you from the Bay Area (or even elsewhere because they tour all over the globe), have heard of this band, they're called the Dirty Cello. They played a free neighborhood concert last eve in our cul-de-sac, naturally we were all sticking to our own clusters and were social distancing. The acoustics were surprisingly good, about the worst thing that happened was this strong wind started blowing in all this smoke from the forest fires, this morning the air is atrociously bad and there's ash all over the place.

Anyhoo, here's a pic I took followed by a YT link, I never thought a band where the cello is the main instrument would be so rocking. If you ever get a chance check these guys out.
