Would be impressive if he can win another WT stage race before the tour. If he manages to win he would have won every WT stage race in spring except Paris Nice, which afaik he never entered as the team's leader. Weren't there some people last year who accused him of not trying to win the races he enters? :D

Last year, before the Tour, many of the usual suspects still thought he was vastly overrated. Now he lacks charisma, is boring, is a wheelsucker, etc. It's really difficult to understand how a so-called cycling fan can come to hate a cyclist like Quintana - or any of the current top cyclists for that matter.

He was still unknown as far as how far his abilities would take him.

He's never been a Purito level time trialist, he's always been decent. But today was a very very good showing. Hopefully none of the big three will crash out this time...

Quintana is not the usual colombian "escarabajo". He is a pretty good timetrialist considering his body and his natural abilities. He has shown what is capable of in the past. Today's performance was not stunning or unbeliveable for me. I didn't expect big gaps under the general classification contenders and, taking into account that there was a hill in the middle of the parcours and the short distance of the Time Trial, I think he has done a little bit better TT than what it is a usual on him.

I think he is an incredible cycling talent. One of those who doesn´t come to a sport very often. However, he is a cyclist that frustates me as not a lot of sportmen have done. He is ultra conservative and I have to recognize that he is not between my loved riders.

I expected him to top 5 yesterday, perhaps even challenging for the win. Can't say I'm disappointed by his performance though even though he finished outside top 5 as he was in same time as the third place finisher.

So far, Quintana's showing the most of the Tour contenders.
Wonder if racing free June is still the schedule.

Well, to be fair, Contador does have simillar results this year to Quintana - they have both podiumed every race they have participated in and are 1 vs 1 in the races they have competed against each other. The only thing is Quintana has got a wee bit more fortune and is probably going to win two WT races, while Contador only won Pais Vasco. But looking at the form, they have been prety equal so far this season. It will get really interesting in July, especially if Froome finds a similar form aswell...

Don't forget his two Burgos wins, he's got a pretty good palmares when it comes to one week races.
With his recovery and his usual monster shape durning the 3rd week he's also one of the few guys who could win Giro and Suisse durning the same year.
