Boonen back to his best.
Punta Veleno.
Purito finally won something.
Col d'Eze TT showdown.
A non-superman Gilbert meaning we don't know who's going to win in the Ardennes.

The silencing of the GreenEdge detractors.

I thought a classic, 1 stage in each GT, and a total of 20 wins, would be a good season for them...They have the classic, and 11 wins and it's only April...much of the rest relies on Goss to be honest.

I don't understand all the hype regarding punta veleno. It was of course a very interesting stage, but not to be considered the highlight of the season so far.
Ridiculously steep climbs are not exciting to watch, riders scattered all over the climb, using mountain bike gear combo. Of course, it was interesting to watch, but not something out of this world.
It was an incredible performance by Pozzovivo nevertheless.

I was excited to see a climb decided over the length of the climb, rather than just by a sprint at the end of it.

Rise of the Albasini.

No. Rise of Tony Martin. Did you see how great he was climbing in Pais Vasco? GT riders run scared. There's a new sheriff in town :p;)

Boonen in Roubaix was certainly the most impressive performance.

As regard to the most spectacular race so far i would say Milan-Sanremo

Actually, for me a highlight is that Greenedge have been competitive in races I didn't think they would be competitive in (Catalunya, FW etc.) while being nowhere in the sprints where I thought they would do well.

PN for me. Westra stepping up his climbing game by winning the mountain finish stage well-deserved, followed by an epic TT duel on col d'eze.

Hey, do you know who won the amstel gold race? please help me remember

2 wins for the season, I can't believe they'd be happy with that.

Hugo
Greenedge sprinters...Goss should be aiming a little later in the season, Tour olympics, Howard I consider their next best has been riding track, McEwen Davis, Cooke, perhaps their best sprinting days are behind them.

There are two races that I enjoyed this year thus far: Cancellara winning the Strade Bianche and Rodriguez winning the Fleche Wallonne.

Luke Durbridge overall at Sarthe. Ok, not the most prestigious of races these days, but to win your second race ever in Belgium as a 20 year old is pretty impressive and every season I always look forward to young guys coming through - last year it was Guardini, Kittel and Betancur

so we have no right to differ here, do we :p
I meant that the pick was a bit biased because the stage happened yesterday and they were still under the spell.

Pauwels winning two general classifications
Cancellara's ride on the Strade Bianche
Contador's ban
Galimzyanov (a sprinter !!) got busted and admitted it
Vanmarcke's solo ride at the Circuit.

And, of course, sprinters beaten down for the second time in a row at Milan-Sanremo :D

Descent made it more exciting. watching them go at it one by one on those narrow dirt roads easing into the turns, maddone what a sight.

It is not allowed to talk negative about steep climbs that obliterate the peloton and cause big gaps.
If you do so you will get a permaban.

I'm going to suggest this to the administrators. I'm confident they will accept this rule without a discussion as well.
