For Mens RR's.

Belgium- It seems very open but i shall say Roelandts.
France- Voeckler
GB- Cav ( if he rides ) might finally not be ganged up on by all the Sky riders seeking to drop him.
Netherlands- Poels, Gesink, Mollema, would be the favourites in my view.
Russia- Someone from Katusha.
Germany- Greipel ( though Kiteel might be able to survive/ get a good lead out by his team )/ Ciolek has a good chance.
Spain- Valverde or JROD

That is basically the main countries RRs' that are coming up ( so i did not bother to do Portugal, Luxembourg, Slovakia and Switzerland ).

EBH ( if riding ) will win the Norway RR- though Hushovd might be better prepared since he will not be doing the TDF.

I can't imagine that if Liquigas won WC with sagan
Fortunately there are strict regulations regarding the rainbow jersey. I wish the national federations could do the same.

National feds can veto a design if they want though can't they? The Italian federation did it to Katusha when Pozzato was Italian champion.

I'm surprised the riders don't take more of a stand aswell, if I was national champion I'd want to wear the proper jersey.

I don't think they can. They can make a fuss about it, like in the case of Pozzato, and the team might listen, but the federation can't force them to change the design. See Visconti's jersey this year, I don't think anybody in Italy likes it.

Duggan's is better than Busche's, and both Leipheimer's and Hincapie's when they were with discovery, but nowhere near as good as Hincapie's when he was national champ the last time. Both HTC and BMC gave him, what I consider, to be real US Champ kits.

Be good if the national jerseys could somehow have their own sponsor: to assert the traditional designs vs. the main team sponsor. I assume it's the team sponsors who are squeezing the national colours into these crappy bands round the jersey. Prolly wouldn't work as the team sponsors will have the final say.

movistar's terrible national champ kit designs are the only reason why i don't want costa to take the road tittle this year

I completely forgot about them ( lol ). I think Gasparotto might win. Visconti, Pozzato and Ulussi might also challenge. It will be nice to see Moser as well.

EBH is riding, Hushovd is not.

Still won't be easy though, EBH has been the favorite for the last 6 years but never won. There are basically 120 guys riding against him and he only has 1 teammate, Nordhaug, who'll have to pull back all the breakaways the entire day. Unlike Hushovd, EBH hasn't bought up a continental team to ride for him (Hushovd owns the continental team Plussbank-BMC who have been riding for him in the last few national championships).

the track is really really hard... I think it will be good for Scarponi (if he can ride, I don't remember...) Nibali, or Visconti if in a good shape.. but also Pozzovivo or, why not, Cataldo...

Completely pointless, and even more unworkable. As if the team's would stand for their star riders riding around with another sponsor for a year.

Don't worry. Maybe Machado or Oliveira will win and their jerseys will be just like Cancellara's :D

Italian nationals is Liquigas to lose...just couple Nibbles with Little Moser and you got the perfect team for that kind of course. Not to mention people like Capecchi and Caruso (and obiouvsly Basso).

Lampre doesn't seem to be in great form, and I believe only Cunego will be capable of something. Maybe Ulissi, just maybe.

Watch out for Giampaolo Caruso, the Katusha one, he looks good.

i am hoping for a paulinho or pires win. saxo and quick step always has the best national champ jerseys imo, so i think they would do a great job with the portuguese national champ jersey which is rather hard one to get right. the classic white jersey with the central band with the red and green and the national shield is still my favorite from the designs i have seen over the last few years.
