Kind of funny how the chose the absolute worst possible camera angles for the sprint. One helishot where the entire street was obscured by trees, and one where the riders were blocked by the barricades.

Perfect for Freddie. He only recently got a ride with Jelly Belly for the rest of this year. Surely someone will pick him for 2014 as well so he can show off his stars-n-stripes.

Can't wait to see how JB incorporates his national champs kit with the jelly bean theme, though :D

The USA championship must be the biggest joke-race ever. Even a bigger joke than the Tour of Cali

Last year I watched the livestream (forgot this time around) and it was horrible too.

If I remember correctly (might be mixing up with a different race, but I'm pretty confident I don't), they only had the helicopter camera, plus a couple static cameras in corners, but no motos at all.

Because the best riders of the US don't even care about their national championship. They don't even bother to race it

Gotta admit that my first reaction was How the heck can Rodriguez win the US National Championship?
Even though I technically know it wasn't 'Purito'...

It's funny though that Rodriguez was born (in Colombia) a few months after Hincapie whose father was Colombian. Seems like a really strong cycling country.
