This.Doesn't matter - they still found a way to lose. There's no good losses or moral victories in the NFL.
I've never seen Chris Simms that passionate. He even swore a few times! But he really made a sound point. Either just tell everyone the rules have changed, or let them play like they always did, and hit the QB from time to time and accept the consequences. And he was a QB!Florio and Simms on insane RTP calls.
not speaking of them but in general I’d rather lose a regular season game that was close vs us getting our a$$ kicked. In Broncos case they have to figure out what the heck they were doing that he was doing so well in the beginning of the game.Doesn't matter - they still found a way to lose. There's no good losses or moral victories in the NFL.

Neither team had trouble scoring points. The difference was a couple of bad throws. As for the defenses........Yeah, the Cardinals were trying to beat the Patriots record for 3 touchdowns scored in the fastest time.
Honestly I can’t harp on Cardinals defense as bad considering they got three turnovers that lead to at minimum a 17 point swing.Neither team had trouble scoring points. The difference was a couple of bad throws. As for the defenses........
The "back up" Jimmy G still in the mix as well and Rush only had one bad game for the Cowboys. As for starting QBs, Hurts looks much better for the Eagles Matt Ryan had a better game for the Colts last week and he needed to, and Dalton showed why he is a back up now. A mixture of good and bad.I've been saying all along this is the year of the backup QB: Wilson out & Rypien to start against the Jets:
Only Rypien's second start in his career - let's see what the kid from Boise St can do.
Think the Falcons can push the Bengals. To Rush's credit, he was playing against the best team in the NFC, and a team with a very strong defense.
Thoughts on a few games:
ATL@CIN - Both of these teams are playing on the rise. The Falcons playing hard, and better than anyone thought. The Bengals finally looking like the team people expected.
DET@DAL - Great game for Dak to come back. They should be able to pile up enough points against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. I expect Dak to be a little rusty, but Dallas has a good run game, and can still give up 20+ points and win easily.
NYG@JAX - I think the Giants are ripe for an upset. They have been winning close games, while the Jaguars are playing hard while losing close games.
IND@TEN - A fight for first place. This is truly a game that will be won in the trenches. Not sure how well Indy can protect Ryan, who is finally in sync with their offense, but an aging statue. Not sure how well Tenn can continue to pound the ball, hold a lead, or come from behind.
GB@WAS - If the Packers can't win this game, there will be zero room to relax the rest of the way.
HOU@LVR - If the Raiders can't win this game, after a bye, there really is no hope for their season.
SEA@SD - I like the Seahawks chances here, at least against the spread (-5 1/2). Herbert's injury has prevented him from throwing hard, deep accuracy, and running or taking hits, and I think the Seahawk offense quick playing matches up well against the Chargers.
KC@SF - CM or no CM, if the 49ers fall 2 scores behind, I don't see them winning. But they have the ability on both sides of the ball to slow the game down, just as well as KC can speed it up.
PIT@MIA - Why is this the flex game at night, instead of KC@SF, or even IND@TEN or ATL@CIN?
Though they held on to win! I swear teams don’t like kicking the field goal this year and it coming back to bite them. I’d always want points in a close game when fourth down isn’t 1 or 2 yards because you never know when you’d score again in a tough, close one.Dolphins might regret not taking the field goal to go up two scores right now.
