Yes. There is about zero chance Wilson plays for the Raiders. He allegedly went to Jodi Allen and tried to get her to fire both GM John Schneider and Pete Carroll, because they were holding him back in his self-centered huge ego brain. Russ wanted Sean Payton as HC. She told him no. Funny how it all worked out. There was talk that Wilson could go to the Raiders this year, but the team shut that down very quickly. Tomlin didn't want him because Russ lost like 5 games in a row at the end of the season.

Pete Carroll would basically have to win out to remain as HC of the Raiders. But even if he does, both his sons will be fired (and should be) after this season. He also will likely have far less input to draft picks, and signings next year, after most of the guys he wanted busted (as in Geno Smith). Pete was stuck in 2022 and it didn't work. Oh, and I think the Raiders will cut Geno before March, and eat the $15m dead money.

I am not totally sure on Mendoza. He doesn't remind me of Josh Allen. More like Ryan Tannehill. He makes good decisions, gets the ball out. But he doesn't look like a #1 overall pick to me. Lets see what happens at the Combine and Pro Days. But if the Raiders drafted at, say, 6th overall, and he was available? I'd roll the dice, sure.

The guy I think the Raiders want is Dante Moore. But I'm not sure he will declare. I can also see the Raiders taking someone like Ty Simpson in the 2nd round. Or maybe Diego Pavia in the 3rd or 4th. Ask again after the Combine. And if last year taught is anything, every QB should throw at the Combine, and take it seriously - compare Tyler Shough, to what happened with both Shedeur, as well as Will Howard.

Unless Brady suits up to be the Raiders QB next year.

2027 likely to be a much better draft for QBs.

Terry Bradshaw to me, looks in decent shape.. Same with Timmy Tebow..Tebow would sell as many tickets as anyone.. Joe Namoth is selling insurance and hearing aids..he has to have some free time.. Adam Sandler played a football player, why not give him a chance if comedy is the goal. Not for nothing but there was talk that Canada, arena, alternative leagues will all be feeder possibilities for NFL eventual entries or an emergency source for players.. Didn't ever happen.Has anyone even called Doug Flutie? He has been eating some supplements that make you " really perform"..

Interesting insight on that situation with Wilson & Seahawks - I was completely unaware of any of that stuff going on.

Pickett is named the starter tomorrow against the Eagles. This is his audition for the Raiders' QB spot. He may be their best bet.

Pickett never really got a fair chance at Pittsburgh when he pissed off Tomlin & the team released him. He was a having a pretty decent rookie year in the 12 starts he had before he tore up his ankle & needed surgery (7-5 record). And recall when he cleared off of IR & was ready to play in their opening playoff game, Tomlin wanted to stick with Rudolph & Pickett went public with his concerns about the decision. No player second guesses any of Tomlin's decisions or that player will be thrown off the team faster than you can say "Art Rooney" Lol. Tomlin is one of those old school coaches you don't want to mess with - and Pickett learned the hard way.

And he never got chance to play any at Philly backing up Hurts.

You have a talented QB with Pickett or he never would have been a 1st rounder (6.40 prospect grade). He's still young at 27. He's got decent size, above-average arm strength, good mobility & athleticism with the ability to run - he checks off the list in the physical skills dept. And he can sling it - he broke all of Dan Marino's passing records at Pitt throwing for over 12,000 yds. His senior season was sensational winning the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award.

I could be wrong but I think Pickett could be the answer to their QB problems (we'll see how plays tomorrow with an offense that you say has no O-line).

The answer sure isn't Geno Smith, that's for sure. I do think Pickett needs a shot. Raiders have maybe the worst OL in the entire NFL though, and I'm not sure how much work he got with the receivers. But he does get rid of the ball quicker than Geno, and he's more mobile. So... Some Raider fans want them to tank, but I'd rather see Pickett win out, and give the team some momentum leading into the off-season. Then maybe draft some QB in the 2nd-4th round perhaps. Or as you mentioned in the past, bring in Will Levis. See what he has.

Really rooting for Rivers tomorrow! Against maybe the best defense in the NFL. Oh no!

Some very good games potentially this weekend.

CLE@CHI - As I predicted, Shedeur the starter the rest of the way. And he will struggle.
BAL@CIN - Bengals done, can they ruin the Ravens last gasp chance? I think yes.
LAC@KC - I'm going with the Chiefs. Backs to their wall. I don't trust Herbert in big games.
BUF@NE - Should be a big game. I like the Bills here. A lot more battle tested.
LV@PHI - Some are calling this a revenge game for Pickett. But he says he loved playing in Philly.
GB@DEN - I think the Broncos streak ends here. But this could be a close, grueling game.
DET@LAR - Could be high scoring. Lions must win. I think the Rams have more tools.
CAR@NO - Panthers win they go a game up on Tampa in that division. Saints have looked okay of late.
IND@SEA - Here it is, the big one. What does Rivers have left?

MIN@DAL - Cowboys in must win mode to have any chance of the playoffs.

MIA@PIT - Steelers in 1st. Dolphins have won 4 in a row while no one is looking.

You also can’t trust Chiefs in big games this season. Only game they haven’t lost was the Colts. Their upside is Herbert and the oline injury will help the Chiefs bad pass rush. Mahomes also hasn’t been throwing the ball well bar the Cowboys game. It’ll be a slugfest of who has the least amount of turnovers.

It's going to be a battle of the backup offensive lines. Mahomes is missing 3 starters and Trey Pipkins, who sprained his ankle in last week's game, is listed as inactive, so Herbert is also missing 3 starters. Both QBs are going to be running for their life playing with that many backup offensive linemen. Btw, KC must win - a loss & they're officially eliminated from the playoffs.

Interesting weather tidbit: The forecast high for the KC game at Arrowhead is only 23 degrees. The forecast high for the Bronco game in Denver - 600 miles from KC - is a balmy 60 degrees (people are packing the golf courses here!).

All I know is I hope Rivers lights it up tomorrow.
If a 44 yr old, overweight, out-of-shape, goofy acting QB who hasn't played a game in 5 freaking yrs "lights it up" in his first start, then the NFL is in BIG trouble with it's lack of development of young QB talent!

Look at all young talented QBs out there who are sitting the bench as embarrassing backups; Lance, Zach Wilson, Fields, Mac Jones, Milton, AR, etc. These young guns aren't starting but yet a 44 yr old stiff is starting today? Does anyone else see a problem with this???

While in the middle of their slugfest the Chargers and Chiefs must be happy they’re not in the Bills position. How many times can you come back being down so many points to win the game. Patriots are looking very patrioty. Chargers and Chiefs have almost identical stats bar the Chiefs getting an interception.

Something else to watch in the game is Rice. Last week after he got absolutely drilled by the backer he didn’t catch a single pass because he kept looking for a defender. Rice just got drilled again by a safety and then dropped the next pass to him since he was looking at Mack.

That knee of Mahomes looked really bad. Glad he was still walking, but they are done. Season over. Who would have predicted that?

Unbelievable comeback by the Bills. Down 21-0. I thought they would win, but not like this.

Jags and Texans offenses humming. Collision course ahead.

Bad game by Shedeur. 18-35 for 177. Zero TDs, 3 interceptions, sacked 5 more times.

Bengals can't go into next season with this same team. Taylor may even be fired.

Pathetic performance by the Raiders. OL can't block at all. Raiders could have pulled five big fat guys out of the stands and they would have blocked just as good.

How fitting for the Chiefs eliminated from postseason with Mahomes knock out of the game with a potentially serious knee injury. Biggest choke job with a backup that I've seen in awhile when Minshew threw the game losing pick with the Chiefs in chip shot FG range to tie the game. Unbelievable change of events with the Chiefs today. No postseason for the first time since 2014!

Credit the Chargers they came to play some hard football knocking Chiefs' players around all day. Herbert was outstanding with all the pressure he faced on every pass play with that backup O-line. Chargers still in the hunt for the division. Next @ Dallas.

Torn ACL for Mahomes. Terrible way to end the season but has plenty of time to rest now. Minishew didn’t do anything that Mahomes wouldn’t have done himself, only difference is a flag wasn’t thrown per usual for the Chiefs. If anything Mahomes getting injured lit a fire in the Chiefs that had them riding high for a little bit. Overall they played better and worse in some areas than I thought before the season, this season just highlighted how much luck they had going for them the previous two seasons. They need to fire Nagy, get a physical receiver, a better running back, and clean up the o and d line. Only issue is their negative cap space.

Bills with a huge comeback win and could still win the division late depending on how Patriots do. If Allen doesn’t make the Super Bowl this year, he’s never making it.

Lions screwed by refs with the Rams touchdown that should have been an incompletion helping Rams with their comeback and some bad missed holding calls and a roughing the passer on Goff. Ultimately they have only themselves to blame for most likely missing the playoffs. Rams going strong to hold off everyone for the one seed.

Rivers was so close!!! It’d be great if he can lead the team to the playoffs.

Bills have to take advantage of the turmoil in the AFC.............Rams are another team that seem destined to go further but still beatable on their day, refs seem to like them lately..........Panthers doing what the Panthers do and trying to make a mess of things.........equation is simple now as they have two games against the Buccs...........Lions could be out as well as the Chiefs.............what a strange season it's been so far and will probably continue like that in the playoffs.........as for Rivers, who knows, Brady seems to be more positive about him than most.

I never thought I'd ever see Mahomes sustain a major season-ending injury. He seemed bulletproof from any major injuries all these years. It'll be a tough recovery for him & he may not be ready for the start of next season.

This Chiefs' season has been a shocker of all shockers with their complete implosion. You could make a movie on this - something along the lines of "The fall of the Chiefs' empire...How a dynasty collapsed in just one season." I don't how this team is going to want to even play their remaining 3 games.

Big Bronco win in a high-scoring affair. Nix came alive throwing for 303 & 4 scores. Love didn't have one of his better games throwing 2 picks & having trouble against the Bronco secondary. The Bronco D had an off day but offense was able to step it up & win the day.

I have to declare that I think the Broncos are in the drivers seat to the SB - especially if they get home field advantage throughout the playoffs (they're undefeated at home so far). This is a quality win - the Pack is a very good team. And the Broncos have been very lucky with injuries - only one IR level injury so far & that was Dobbins.

So the Bills spot the Patriots 21 points & end up beating them by 4 in Foxboro. Lol. How embarrassing Vrabel - your D has to preserve a big lead like that. And Maye was terrible - he can't choke in big games like that either. Vintage Allen winning the day with his arm & legs - nothing new there (he's the best dual-threat this year). Nice game from Cook also. This is starting to look like a potent one-two punch in the running game.

IMO, the Bills might be the one team that could give the Broncos trouble. As long as Allen & Cook stays healthy, I think they have a chance.

Magnificent performance by Lawrence: 330 passing, 5 TDs (136 Rtg), 51 rushing & a score for a total of 6 TDs! And a new record set: Lawrence becomes the only NFL player with 5+ passing TDs, 50+ rushing yards, and 1+ rushing TD in one game.

And the Jets started QB3 - Brady Cook - an UDFA out of Missouri. He's a dual-threat that had a stellar career at Missouri. Not a bad performance for his first start ever against a pretty good team nonetheless. We'll see if the Jets start him for the remainder of the year. If so, they can better analyze his performance at the end of season & decide if he's starting material giving him a shot to compete for the starting job next year (he can't do any worse than Fields & Taylor. Lol).

is it true?...the Aints upset the Panthers? How could the Panthers do that to themselves losing to the Aints & a rookie QB? Lol. Nice game by Shough - over 300 yds of total O. He's looking more & more like the franchise QB. Now only if they get him some weapons.

I actually think Josh Allen is better than Jordan Love. And the Buffalo offense better than Green Bay. But can they go into Denver and win? That's a good question. There have been games Denver eeked out, like against the Giants. And against Houston and Davis Mills. But there have been games where the Bills looked very beatable too.

But I see Denver going 14-3, which really should get them HFA.

Most people out 9-12 months after an ACL tear, then back with a brace, and less mobile for some time. So, I'm going back to Nomad's post how I think Reid will now retire. We know Kelce is done. Even if Mahomes somehow starts week 1 next year, they will still likely be in rebuild mode.

It was entertaining watching Rivers play again. He just couldn't throw (or connect to guys) downfield. Still, fun to watch. And a solid win for the Seahawks.

Curious how good the Ravens really are now that Lamar is almost entirely healthy. We'll know more next week when they host the Patriots.

Lions did get screwed. I'm wondering if the Rams are the new Chiefs. Where the NFL loves seeing them in the playoffs?

Must win game for the Colts next week. MNF against the 49ers. Purdy against Rivers and Taylor against the 49ers streaky run defense. 49ers won five in a row while the Colts lost four in a row, something has to give. Purdy looked good today, no sign of the turf toe and the 49ers should have some defense back from injury. Aiyuk saga looks almost over at the 49ers, what a debacle that has been. They will release him next season it seems, unlikely they find a trade partner even next season after such an injury and such a toxic break up.

Packers have lost Parsons to probable ACL injury. Worst possible timing.
