Totally disgusting. What is he...24 going on 14? One of the best DT & he lets his team down with a stupid act like that. Definitely a fine forthcoming - I wonder if there will also be a suspension?
I’d be surprised if there isn’t a suspension or it’s talked down to a big fine. He can argue all he wants that Prescott spat in his direction, you can’t retaliate like that. Sack his a$$ and stop their offense to show them what’s up.

27-21 Chargers with Herbert killing the Chiefs with his arm and legs. People have been saying his arm needs to deliver and it did. Chargers looked better than last year. Chiefs offense looked a little better than last year with 2-3 big pass plays they completed but Mahomes still off with his receivers. Chiefs field goal before the half was well executed. Otherwise the Chiefs killed themselves with penalties. For Chargers it stinks this counts as their home game especially with the majority of fans being on the Chiefs side. International games shouldn’t be intradivisional.

Damn Worthy got fu**ed up by Kelce.
Some are saying Worthy broke his collarbone, on the sideline it looked like they were trying to put his arm back in place. Kelce was also yelling Taylor and the usual spat with the defense in addition to his altercation with Tart.

It's only week one, but I'm surprised. Credit to Herbert. I also think him using his legs more than ever really helped set up his passing. I'm most surprised that the Chiefs offense didn't show much firepower or consistency, and the penalties. Then again, it's only week one.

Agree this wasn't Arrowhead, but it was more of a home game for the Chiefs than Chargers. No more inter-divisional international games.

That's what the OC had said early in camp wanting Herbert to run more & be more effective on off-schedule plays. Herbert has the same size, speed & athleticism as Allen. No reason why he can't add some dual-threat capacity to his game. And what an aerial assault - 318 yds, 3 TDs, no picks & passer rating of 131.

WTH happen to the Chief's running game? Only 98 yds & Mahomes was the leading rusher! (when was the last time that happened?). And 10 penalties - I guess for once the refs weren't playing favorites. Lol.

The injury to Worthy is what you get when a diminutive 165 lb player collides with a 250 lb monster...not pretty.

Shades of Josh Allen:

Another entertaining game. Both QB's played well although Mahomes had a scratchy start. Herbert made some impressive runs and the best one got called back. Mahomes also scrambled well. Surprised at how much the Chargers threw the ball but it worked. Chiefs had a few drops they should have caught plus some overthrows from Mahomes. NFL should be happy with the first two games apart from the spitting idiocy.

The key difference is if it were Josh Allen he would have trucked Chamarri Conner at the end instead of sliding.
No doubt...Allen outweighs Conner by almost 40 lbs. Allen has a very hard style of running where he'll go head on with just about any DB or LB. His running style is very similar to that of HOFer Steve Young. I bring that up because Allen needs only 97 yds to surpass Young at the #6 spot (4239) in QB all-time rushing yds.

The similarities between the two is uncanny with Allen being considerably bigger, though Young, at 6-2, 220, was a good size QB for that time period. Like Allen, Young possessed a cannon arm with elite passing skills & was considered a bonafide dual-threat as opposed to just a scrambling QB that ran once in awhile. And what a hard running style Young displayed throwing his body into defenders to get that few extra yards. You probably remember some of his amazing runs from back in the day?

What I remember most about Young was him being a pretty good passer! The other thing I remember is in 1992 and 1993 he had very good seasons as the 49ers gave up on Montana, but Young couldn't get them passed the Cowboys. As good as Young was, he just wasn't able to deliver like Montana did.

However, in 1994 he really stepped up. His stats for that season were ridiculous for that era. A completion rate of 70.3% while still throwing the ball 8.6 yards per attempt. He ran less than year, but still for 293 yards and over 5 yards per carry. Of course there was the SB MVP to go with it all. And they beat the Cowboys along the way.

Yeah, 1994 was a phenominal year for him & I think that season with the SB MVP solidified his future HOF status.

How about that 1998 season where he ran for 494 yds (6.5 avg), 6 TDs to go along with 4100 yds passing at age 38. And this was done in just 15 games he played. And his rushing & passing accolades were all done under center in the traditional offense of that day. Imagine him in a shotgun-centric spread offense with some RPO schemes.

Some interesting games to me:

TB@ATL - Curious how Penix plays, now that he has the keys to the car.
MIA@IND - Does Daniel Jones have it? And how much did Miami lose this off season?
PIT@NYJ - All the reasons why.
SF@SEA - Both of these teams have a lot of unanswered questions.
DET@GB - What will the Lions look like without Ben Johnson, and some roster changes? Also how Parsons does for GB.
HOU@LAR - Two more teams I'm not so sure how good they are.

BAL@BUF - Two titans going head to head. Balt as balanced as ever. Buffalo supposedly beefed up it's D some.

I’m looking forward to 3 of those games but only zoned for 2 of them (I’ll be asleep anyways for work so can only catch the tail end of the Packers-Lions game). Dolphins are going to be crap this season unfortunately, they missed their window.

Everyone seems to be picking the Ravens to win the AFC and the SB at least with the TV and print media. Game with the Bills should be good viewing. Think a lot of games go the same way as the first two games, close and competitive, with a few upsets.

49ers game with Seattle should be interesting re the Hawks new offense and the 49ers new defense at least player wise.

Can the 49ers and Cowboys bounce back ? Can the Steelers, Buccs and Denver improve more ? Are Miami going to be as bad as many expect ? Are the Chiefs SB winnings days over or are they going to appear in yet another one ! Will the Chargers be as good as the hype ?

Daniel Jones was very impressive for the Colts! Led a scoring drive every single time he touched the ball. Apparently the first time any QB has done this since the 1990s. Miami definitely looks like they are headed to last place.

Browns lost in the most Browns like way imaginable. Flacco played good...until the end. The Bengals did not impress much otherwise.

Jets had the Steelers completely on the ropes, but a fumbled kickoff led to a Steeler touchdown, and a quick 14 point swing. Fields played quite well.

Jax looked efficient, but Bryce Young looked quite bad. Like, 2023 bad. And it wasn't like he was constantly pressured or his receivers covered.

TB and the Falcons game was quite entertaining. Last minute heroics by Baker. But Penix played quite good most of the game.

It’s not over but the Packers completely annihilated the trenches against the Lions. One team looked ready while the other struggled. Packers defensive line is going to be a lot of trouble for their opponents. Lions are in for a long season if this is their offensive line play.

Dolphins even worse than I thought. For the Jets that stinks how they fumbled the game away but a Jets thing to do. Bengals with a win they would have lost last year but Burrow looks like he took a lot of punishment.

I had a hunch the Lions offense wouldn't be like last year. But it's hard to tell if they are bad, or the Packer defense is really that good, because they looked fantastic.

Geno Smith threw for 362 yards for the Raiders, in the rain.

Seattle also blew a real good chance to upend SF. But Sam Darnold didn't show much at all.

Texans also blew a shot at beating the Rams.

Titan's weren't going to beat Denver. But they shot themselves in the foot also. Cam sure looked like he belonged in the NFL though.

Their offensive line doesn’t look as good and for now looks like teams have figured them out. If they can’t get their act together they missed their window.

Bills are getting annihilated by the Ravens tonight and showing they should have kicked the PAT.

And not the reason they’ll lose but the Bill with another ball placement “controversy” on Allen’s slide when he picked up the first down but spotted it short. Ravens will be happy to have the lead and game over Bills. 9/28 will be a huge game for the Ravens tonight get ahead of their two biggest rivals.

Wow!!!!! Bills with the insane comeback which is reminiscent of their previous collapses. Henry’s fumble was huge and I thought for sure Bills shot themselves in the foot with the multiple going for 2s. Now 11/2 will be the big game for the conference and thankfully I’m off.
