Very impressive game by Seattle. That Daniels injury looked gruesome. I can't imagine he didn't tear ligaments in addition to the dislocation. He absolutely will go on IR, and the Commanders season is basically cooked, even if he makes it back late in the season with his arm in a brace.
Raiders did play their heart out. Best performance all season, even in a loss. They could spoil some other teams week in the future.
I wouldn't say the Panthers offense, or Young, looked that good. It was just surprising how the Packers could not get into the end zone.
In a similar way, I'm baffled as to why the Chiefs offense couldn't sustain drives. Yes, Mahomes faced pressure. But he's always done well with pressure. It's not like he was running for his life. And that last int was just a bad decision. I can't tell what's going on with KC, but they absolutely cannot afford to lose in Denver in two weeks (after a bye), especially with Surtain still out. If they lose KC will be 3 full games behind them, 10 weeks into the season. Then KC plays the Colts the following week.

Bad day for the Commanders :
- QB Jayden Daniels, who left Sunday’s loss with his left arm immobilized, suffered a dislocated elbow and will have an MRI to determine how long he’s out, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday. He's expected to miss several games.
- WR Luke McCaffrey broke his collarbone in Washington's loss to Seattle, Rapoport and NFL Network Insiders Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero reported. McCaffrey will be placed on injured reserve and likely miss the remainder of the season.
- CB Marshon Lattimore is feared to have torn his ACL in Sunday night's defeat, Rapoport and Garafolo reported. Lattimore will undergo an MRI to confirm the injury.
A silver lining to Daniels' injury is that it's to his non-throwing arm. Also, reports say X-rays were negative for any fractures & the injury may not be season-ending. And Quinn is taking all kinds of heat for leaving Daniels out there in the 4Q during a blowout (I agree...WTH was Daniels doing out in the 4Q with the score 38-10?).

It looks like Mahomes played the worst game of his career. Did you hear it was the first time he has finished a regular season game with a completion rate below 50% (44%). It was also the first time he has failed to throw a TD pass in a game (I didn't realize that he's thrown at least one TD pass in every game he's played in up to this point). In fact, Mahomes hasn't thrown the ball as well as he normally does. His completion percentage & passer rating is considerably down from his career averages (maybe that's why he's been running more trying to beat teams with his legs).
OTOH, Buffalo has been cranking up their running game big time. They are currently the #1 rushing team with Cook the #2 leading rusher in the league (behind Taylor). Cook has rushed for 867 yds & is on pace for 1800 yds, which would blow away last season's total of 1009 yds (and the durability of Cook is impressive since he's only 190 lbs taking on the physical stress of an every down back). The improved running game with Cook has taken the load off of Allen who doesn't have to run as much and can throw more easily off of play action.

I didn't know that. Oddly, in the losses to Atl and NE, people were saying the Bills running attack wasn't very good. But just like their maligned defense, they have really stepped up. I don't even know who some of these DBs are that Brandon Beane found in the draft, but they were lights out good against KC. And they're all young. Similar on their DL. Ed Oliver and Micahel Hoecht out? No problem, these guys filling in that you've never heard of are 99% as good.

Watching the current NFL history playout in Arlington. Dallas has(?) a 3-4 touchdown a game offense with a very highly paid QB. But like current day America where the Big Wheel identity plays out in all ways of life: Jerry owns this team and outcome.

I wouldn't get too far down on the Chiefs offense. It was a one score game as haphazardly as the offense played. Everyone knows the problem is getting through the playoffs with their current record.
Too funny - the Cardinals punched the Cowboys right in the mouth in their backyard. Love seeing Jerry & "America's team" lose. I bet he's fuming all the way back to his mansion. Is he going to fire Schottenheimer? Lol. Great defensive effort by the Cards. And Jacoby Brissett looked outstanding (2nd game in a row where he looked good). I bet Gannon will stick with Brissett who I think could become a starter in this league.

I agree there. Two years in a row I wanted the Raiders to sign Brissett, then have him be a bridge QB until the Raiders can draft/groom their QB for the future. Brissett has to be the best talent & value vs. cost QB in the league, along with Joe Flacco maybe. I can't see Gannon going back to Murray at this point. Brissett would have to have a really bad game.
That NFC West is a tough division. The Cardinals are in last place at 3-5, but easily could be 5-3. They also have a +9 point differential right now, better than the 5-3 Niners, (Seattle at +81!), and have had a tough schedule so far.
An issue with the Chiefs may be this: Let's assume they are a wildcard. I'm sure most teams won't look forward to seeing them in the playoffs. I think the Chiefs could on any given playoff Sunday beat any other team in the AFC. But I just don't see this team doing that against 3 (or 4) playoff teams in a row. It just seems highly unlikely. Put another way, I can see them getting the WC, then going into Pittsburgh and knocking the Steelers off. Then going to Baltimore and losing one of those 30-21 games that Mahomes keeps close, but it's clear the better team won. Or we'd see a repeat of this last week in Buffalo, etc.

I love Chiefs offensive coordination and find all the utility of Rashee Rice really cool. I think the Chiefs are best when banging the line of scrimmage with Isiah Pacheco and I love Kareem Hunt, he gets it done but something just a little faster, little more explosive in Pacheco's play. He takes pressure off of everyone with 4,5 yard runs consistently and it makes the defense play him even without the ball which looks like it opens up lots of block and release stuff for KC tight ends. I think they can win with Hunt but it's not the same dynamic. Something looks off with offensive line for KC, PM getting sacked or hurried more often and defense getting backfield pressure consistently and minimize running efficiency..
KC's line wasn't giving much time for the RPO that makes both Pacheco and Hunt very dangerous. Mahomes wasn't given much room to roam, either. Pacheco was hitting hard as was Hunt so no lack of effort there.
Alpe' is correct in the playoff road analysis: it's potholed all the way with big trucks in the path....
Jerry held a presscon with former Cowboys flanking him and reporters listening to his wisdom. He called out Parson's basic character as not worthy of a big contract or the team leadership role. His example was a time during early season workouts that "a player" (para), in the Arlington heat had to take a pause and go to the physio table....What kind of fantasy analysis is that, Jerry? Everyone listening seemed slightly uncomfortable.
It's Jerry's team and fate and that excuse for not providing a player with a contract doesn't seem real. It's just an excuse rather than an admission of a mistake. IMO, a mea culpa would go a long way to restore team morale, but that's just me.

Kansas City is a bit shorthanded at a key spot.
There are a bunch of different articles out there about stuff like bond issues and franchise values. In Buffalo for example prices will be different for new stadium. And in Las Vegas and now Dallas, franchise value continues to increase even when you are putting an inferior product on the field. Jerry Jones can play the part pretend that something is in jeopardy but reality is he is in an all win situation, all the time, win or lose. Even his merchandise sales are up despite poor on field results. Cowboys are a license to print money.
I have not read anything widespread about Parsons being corrosive in the locker room.

Some years ago there was an interview with Jim "Playoffs?" Mora Sr. who was a pretty strict coach. He talked about how he pushed players hard in practice and was fortunate an occurrence like Stringer didn't happen under his watch, and he regretted not paying closer attention to players actual health needs. Jerry would be wise to do the same.
This last Sunday was the first game this year Parsons wasn't a force for the Packers. It's been Green Bay's offense that's simply not clicked. Especially in the red zone. One bad game doesn't mean Parsons has not been terrific for the Packers, whose defense is 5th in yards, and 6th in points. While Dallas defense still can't stop anything.

The Chiefs have been terrible rushing the ball this year with Mahomes having almost as much yards as Pacheco and Hunt. Mahomes has also lead the team in rushing in multiple games.
To be fair; Dallas defense has found a way to stop any hope of winning.

Gardner with a huge upgrade in teams.
PS2 dodged a bullet not tearing his pectoral (season ending surgery) vs a mild strain (2-3 weeks). I think he'll be more than ready for the KC game.
I think a bigger concern right now is the Broncos getting a caught in a "trap" game with Raiders this TNF game. The Broncos get 10 days to prepare for the Chiefs but this game looms important. Will the Brincos be looking ahead to the Chiefs & not take the Raiders seriously? You know the Raiders are going to show up to play against a divisional rival on national TV - they showed no signs of quitting & played very hard against the Jags last week.

Get down on Chiefs O? Lol Get down on Mahomes is more like it...he sucked! Lol. A career low 44% completely pct - the first time he was ever below 50% in career - and a career low 57 passer rating. Plus it's the first time in his career he's failed to throw at least one TD pass in a game! He wasn't playing injured or ill that I'm aware of, so what's his excuse?
This is totally unacceptable with a "Tier 1" QB. The definition of a "Tier 1" is as follows:
"A Tier 1 quarterback can carry his team each week. The team wins because of him. He expertly handles pure-passing situations. He has no real holes in his game."
Sounds like Superhero status to me - things Superman, Thor, Capt America, etc, are made of.
Mahomes is one of five (5) "Tier 1" or Superhero QBs on the list this year. And this is Mahomes' 5th season as a unanimous Tier 1 selection.
The list was not from any fan or journalist surveys, but was compiled by GMs, Asst. GMs, head coaches & coordinators. These are supposed to the "experts" in the field, right?
According to the experts, Mahomes was deemed to be "The Best Quarterback To Ever Live."
Mahomes has Superhero status & expects to be worshipped by the fans. Therefore, his pathetic performance against the Bills is inexcusable & unacceptable. He should be kicked off the Tier 1 list immediately.

It was a very off game, especially for him. I think his excuses might be they didn't have much of a running game (though Hunt did put in a lot of effort) and he faced a lot of pressure? But he's faced pressure in many games in the past and repeatedly dodged it and burned defenses. In fact, he faced a lot more pressure in the Super Bowl where he was sacked 6 times. Granted, they lost, but he still put up decent numbers in that SB: 21/32, 257, 3 TD, 2 INT. This past week was just bad decisions, bad passes. Pressure or no pressure.
Also, despite the 28-21 score, the game really wasn't that close. A late TD by KC made the game seem closer than it was. For over 3Q the Bills were obviously the better team, on both sides of the ball, while they were missing several key players on defense.

Agree the Raider-Denver game could be a trap. It depends on which Raider team shows up. The one that damn near beat Jacksonville? Or the one that couldn't do anything right against KC? And Denver can't just be anemic for over 3 quarters, then put their foot on the gas and call it good.
