I'll move these to the thread in which you started this yesterday, but I'm not sure what you are finding to be such an issue. In this thread I removed one message that was reported as clinic-y, and a response to it, and one message was deleted by its poster (who apparently thinks that it is "weird" that there are deleted messages!)

Nothing has been deleted from the Evenepoel thread since 3rd December, so I really don't know what that comment is about.
20 posts (at least) were removed mate. Something strange is happening but I will inform you in a couple of days. For now, I wrote post nr 22723 at 11:35 am (page 909). In 2 days, I will see. And yes, Remco's thread is losing posts too.

I have gone back in the Pogacar thread to 1st December.
I have removed 3 posts as mod since then, the two yesterday that I have just pointed out, and one as a low level personal attack (no warning points were issued for any of these)
19 posts have been removed by the posters almost immediately on putting them up, mostly by the same person, and mostly soon followed by a re-phrasing of the same idea.

Once again, I don't see what you believe to be an issue.

Like I said, this never happened in the forum. I will wait some days to see how this is going.

I have been through the Evenepoel thread to the beginning of November. In that time, none of the posts have been deleted other than by the poster, and before the one on 3rd December, noted above, the most recent deleted post was made on 9th November.
Posters are deleting their own posts. It's kinda strange since we are talking about 19 posts in just one day. Like I said, never happened

Hey Admin and those above. There seems to be a lot of panic amongsth small message boards and forums regarding the Online Safety Act and the implications for owners/moderators from March 25. I'm involved with the running of another sporting forum, and we're trying to unpick the implications for us, and my site owner is even considering closure ... saying that some cycling forums are shutting down.
I have decades of experience with Ofcom compliance, so I'm less worried ... though I think the paperwork initially will be a pain. Do you anticipate problems with these forums? Are CN Forums definitely staying open? Are Mods having to recive additional training? And if so, how is that being managed when they are voluntary users in remote locations? Some discussion would be welcome.

Edit: a link to the risk assessment guidelines. https://www.ofcom.org.uk/siteassets...sment-guidance-and-risk-profiles.pdf?v=388231

Thanks for this: I hadn't been aware of it. Will draw it to the attention of the admins, and brace myself.

Is it not possible to just change location and escape the rot of the big isle?

Just ignore it, ofcom are toothless.

Main worry of course being the owners of cyclingnews remember this place exists and decide they don't want to be filling in any forms.

Ofcom are being beefed up apparently. And I can tell you that, even if they are thought to be toothless, television production companies and broadcasters spend a lot of time and money making sure that they are compliant. They same will apply to forums in the end I suspect ... without the money bit.
