That part must be reserved for all those title sponsors who, well, I guess just haven't shown up yet.

Enovos is a major sponsor but is not on the jersey at all right now so I think it might be them

Is it me or are a lot of the teams going for a black, white & light blue thing. Garmain, schleck, sungaurd and sky all look too similar for me. Not that bad but all the same modern office décor look..

Sky are trendsetters I guess ...

Wow, 2011 is the year of the terrible jersey. Or those that aren't terrible but are actually improvements over their old ones (Garmin-Cervélo > Garmin) involve taking all of the character out of the old jersey.

Far too many jerseys that aren't BAD but are plain nondescript. And that's worse, in my book. You can always have a laugh about a terrible jersey, and you can always spot the people in the bright and weird and wonderful jerseys. Too many jerseys this year are about trying to be stylish, and just end up not being noticeable enough.

Where are the people trying to do something that will be instantly recognisable? Where are the CSF-Navigares, the Relax-GAMs, the Vini Caldirolas?

The Leopard Kit is really quite a bit different than the Sky/Garmin-Cervelo kits... lighter blue and more contrast on the jersey due to the split white/black halves.... I really like it... classy!

Really though... all these jerseys need to be approved by the UCI do they not?? Don't you think at some point the UCI would start telling these teams "Nope, looks too similar to *X* Team, redesign please and re-submit!"?? I really can't believe they approved the Garmin-Cervelo jersey... its not that I don't like it style-wise, but for originality and the ability to identify the teams from each other...???

All I can think of is probably whatever Europcar come up with and that mostly pink Lampre template we've seen.

I don't think the UCI has any say on that unless a team tries to copyright a particular design style. Otherwise, they'd have had to bring out injunctions against the Continental equivalents of Rabobank, Milram, Katyusha (maybe not Katyusha) and Liberty Seguros because they are, by the eyes of officialdom, completely separate teams from their ProTour equivalents. And what of those Colombian teams whose jerseys look suspiciously like European teams, such as Duitama-Club Omni? Or the historic 'twin teams' of Boyacá?

Careful, sir. You're starting to sound like a defender of the infamous Footon kit. :p

Ok, the Leopard kit is nowhere near as bad as the Footon kit. This is unexciting, but not even close to the degree of ugliness of Footon's kit last season.

Sure. Why not? It got us talking about Footon more than the riders ever did.

The point is, a really BAD kit remains memorable. We remember the jerseys of teams like Le Groupement and Castorama years down the line. A jersey like Footon's is like Lionel Richie's "Hello" - so bad that it becomes remembered years after it's gone, because of its being so spectacularly bad. You can have fun with a bad kit, laughing at it, poking fun at it.

A really dull, mediocre kit is far worse, because it doesn't even have that potential for guilty pleasure humour, and will be forgotten pretty quickly. It's nondescript and just blends in to the péloton, whereas you couldn't miss the beige armada with their big, silly-looking foot on the back. They looked ridiculous but the jerseys did the job - you knew where Footon riders were, and you recognised them as Footon riders instantly.

I think in recent years French teams have had the best jerseys.

AG2R and FDJ are my favourite, BBox pretty good too and I hope Europcar will come up with something cool

I also really liked the blue Columbia-High Road jersey
