Lately I've kinda felt like throwing up seeing Levi in any jersey.
the 'goo goo eyes' when he talked about L**** helped precipitate it...

I do like the Saxo kit though. Quickstep looks really good while on the bike...should look great in the peloton.

I agree with the Quickstep statement. I was worried seeing it in pictures, but it looks sweet on Boonen on his bike. Should stand out nicely from the other strange jerseys we will be seeing.

I'm probably one of a select few that liked the Saxo jersey from 2011 but this one I must admit is nice, although not an improvement. I just thought that Contador looked quite dashing in it with his brown skin and dark hair contrasting and complimenting the white jersey.

As for the jerseys, I'm most definitely in agreement with the blue makes the Saxo kit awesome statement. Especially in contrast to last year when it appears almost as if they went:

"Let's have blue kits this year."
"Nah! Too risky! People won't recognize us!"
"Light blue then!"
"Okay!"

That really, really faint baby-blue they had last year was just... weird! It was blue but... not really.

What are the purposes for lack of better words of those bikes?
The last one is the TT-bike, the second seem somehow, sturdier, than the first. Is that for cobbles and such?

Cervelo, Specialized, ... just want to sell "different" bikes to people. So they mix the Tarmac with the Shiv and we have the Venge!!
As you can see the Venge is more aero, but is a much harder ride. The Tarmac delivers a smoother ride. So when the roads get worst they will prefer the Tarmac. But then there is also the Roubiax ... for Roubaix, as you probably already thought.

Then the shorts just look like standard shorts with some logos and don't coordinate with the jersey. A few shades of blue, a few brand names thrown around randomly and presto: a Saxo team kit. The local teams in Seattle have way better designed outfits.

Things like this are of course subjective, but pretty much everyone else on this forum seem to love the kit (except from the eagle), so they can't have done such a bad job designing it. My favorite kit for 2012 by far.

That's a funny critique, but I think it's true. Not particularly impressed with this kit. If I had to pick a favorite so far from the pro peloton it would be Astana.

Hehe 2nd one to dislike it. Anyways, design and style is so subjective. I kinda like the Lotto kit fx, while I find the Astana kit disgusting

Btw like with the Quickstep jersey the Saxo jersey also looks better on the bike (scroll back in the thread for the Boonen and Cantwell pictures)
