When I first saw Cancellara's jersey I thought he was the National Champion of Austria before you notice the white cross. I thought Levi had a crap American National Champion jersey when he rode for Astana in '08, but that looks good compared to Bushe's.

How hard is it to create a German national jersey? White jersey, three stripes for the German flag. It's probably the easiest jersey to do, because the Germans have stuck with it since time immemorial. There's no debate on whether to go full flag or just stripes, no silly incorporating the colours into the team's normal kit (even though that would actually work this time) but ignoring the flag entirely (eg Bertie's Astana Spanish TT kit, or Martin's Garmin Irish kit). Just a white jersey with national flag bands.

And they still end up with something that looks Austrian. As for Cancellara's kit, well at least nobody's mixing up where Rojas is champion of.

I vaguely recall a recent case of a team having to redesign a national champion's shirt after their national federation complained about it - was it Italy? I don't think that abomination of the American flag will go over well at all. You can play with stars and stripes but when you line them up like that you really should get your numbers right.

Is Greenedge going to debut all their national kits at the TDU? I'm assuming they will have a "green edge" as a major part of their branding and I'm a bit worried about Tuft's red maple leaf.

I liked the Leopard kit last year, but this abomination is dreadful.

It's only a small change, but it's horrible. It looks like the Luxembourg National champion jersey so that's the thing that ****es me off.
Last year their national jerseys were bad, but they've made it even worse now.
I mean... Cancellara the champion of Austria? Oh wait there is a white cross in the lowest red bar.... Pfff
