You shouldn't have given them training kits in which they'd feel ashamed of themselves"

Because they wear such a terrible jersey it will make them train harder. This is because they will go faster as they don't want to be seen in it.

Sagan posting the kit a bit on fb:

I for one like the new Tinkoff training kit. Also, I think it makes a lot of sense to have training jerseys from a marketing point of view (more opportunities to sell kit), especially at this time of the year when riders are training with their new teams but are required to wear their old kit.

The Camo jersey MUST HAPPEN.

In a world of boring blacks and whites everywhere, neon camo is perfect.

That would be something you'd have expected from Rock Racing :D

I was thinking the same thing! A kit like that would never get lost in the peloton. Just add a huge yellow fluoro Tinkov logo and you would have the best kit in decades :p:eek::cool:

I don't think the first one is current photo of new jersey. On the label it says it is kid's size and in the corner you can see cyclingtips sign. So he just used some old pics from internet as teaser, that's all...

Good. I don't know how Bjarne has put up with that SRAM cr@p for so long, especially with all the dramas his riders have had with it in the past

I hate camo, but I just love this kit. This one is going to be a huge seller for TS. I can buy one a wear it during my daily rides in woods without beeing afraid to look like an idiot. I am definitly buing one.

Well-spotted. I wonder why they (and Astana) don't go with Spec-branded wheels & cockpits? Seems like Spec would have enough money to match an FSA...

Different companies offer different levels of sponsorship and have different requirements to be met. When Saxo was on SRAM, the deal probably required them to also use Zipp components and wheels, as SRAM now own Zipp. As Saxo was running on a shoestring budget at the time, this would have been the easiest path. Shimano only go the full sponsorship package as well, requiring Shimano wheels and Pro finishing kit to be used (like Orica and previously, Orbea) but with Tinkoff now stepping up with some $$$ they are probably buying the groupsets like JV does with Garmin.

AFAIK Specialized aren't so strict in this regard (one of the few things they aren't so dooshy about) and let Bjarne choose the teams finishing kit. Also, Roval wheels are crap and Bjarne most likely wants them nowhere near his team's bikes.
