While I do find it a bit weird that the BEX teams have different kits - and to be clear, I also find it a bit weird that the Trek teams have different kits - I hardly think there's anything "political" about it.

I agree nobody should ever have a kit like that Viola away kit. It's the colour of the letters in their current logo, but they have of course used both black and white variations as well over the years.
Jayco also appears to be using blue a lot, so that might have played a part, too.
Giant and Liv are obviously not title sponsors though, so I assume BEX could easily have asked Alé to design both similar kits or kits that didn't have much blue or purple on them at all, if they had wished to. And I for one wouldn't have had a problem with the men wearing purple either, as long as it isn't too reminiscent of the 1992/93 Fiorentina away kit
I reserve my judgements of team kits until I see them in the peloton. I liked NTT this year until the races began and I couldn't tell them apart from like 7 other teams. BEX this year looks like it'll be pretty distinctive from the heli cam
Guys... please... you gotta stop...
First - at some point late November "last year" starts actually meaning "this year", and now "this year" actually means "last year". What kind of crazy NYE parties do you guys attend?
Someone else who gotta stop is UCI, with the new concept of rejecting the jerseys of women cont teams', because of something that's mainly WWT related...
There wasn't even a team called NTT last year.
Again very nice in isolation but to similar to other kits.

It's not 2022 until Omloop begins!
"How should we showcase the jersey?"
"Just... have one of the riders model it..."
"Naah, too common!"
"Then... put it on a flat surface and take the photos..."
"Boring!"
"Alright, then! Suspend it on a series of wires in front of a black background!"
"Perfect!"
"I... I was joking... "
Decathalon leaked it, so they probably had it listed for sale. Still looks weird."How should we showcase the jersey?"

We already have those. This is the moaners and complainers thread for team kits, and there are three moaners and complainers threads a year for GT routes. They're usually called something like "Giro/Tour/Vuelta route rumours" or something like that.Maybe we need a moaners and complainers thread for Team kits and GT routes.
There are a lot of jerseys this year that don't exactly capture the imagination, but on the flip side, apart from the women's teams' obsession with tequila sunrise colours, they are at least going for mediocre kits that stand out and are different from each other, so we can tell who is who from a distance from a helicopter in a rainy one-day race in Belgium in March. That's a damn sight better than 7-8 years ago when everybody was releasing kits in monochrome with a touch of blue here and there, because they looked cool in a corporate launch, but then you had a péloton made up of a dozen teams who all looked identical from a distance, and Lampre.
