New specs (glasses)

Got my new specs earlier this week and its taken me nearly 3 days to get comfy with them (the prescription not the fit). Dont remember it being that bad before - anyone else had this?
If you're talking about your very first pair of bi-focals (or even tri-focals) - I hear ya. Those can be freaky. And they will need to be fit properly.

If it's just a single-focal lens, you might want to get a second opinion on them if you're not seeing properly through them.

I would do this right away. Just happened to me and the second doctor's prescription was quite different and way better.

Thanks all.

They seem to have settled in now - not 100%, more like 98% but so much better than when I posted. My prescription has changed quite heavily on my left eye so maybe that was it.

Also thanks for all the cheeky posts saying I might need bifocals / varifocals. I'm not that old - just 43!

I think you are right. It was the same for me, I guess if both eyes get a similar change it's easier to get used to it:)
