Next move from Armstrong

What do you think is LA's next move? You can do a combination.

  • Continues full denial: witch hunt, vendetta, passed tests, etc.

So LA is extremely quiet about the USADA report. But sooner or later he's going to have to open his mouth in public. What do you think he'll do for his next move?

He's stuck. He's cant do anything even if he wanted to. He knows what's coming next. He can't afford to change his line if he wants to settle on the civil suits with NDAs.

I think he'll go for option #1 eventually, but it's too soon for that. Still more witch hunt shenanigans to come - from his lawyers.

No confession ever!

Total denial...everyone else is screwed and has problems...ie jealous, bitter, liar...other ridiculous excuses.

Everything we have ever found out or been told about him would 100% suggest it'll be full denial, witchhunt etc till the bitter end.

"He's someone who understands nothing about life and never will,we should fix a rocket to his back and send him to the moon."

Superman's comments about Ricco but it makes the point well with Wonderboy.

I expect a tricky dicky style "I am not a crook" speech in the near future and a few years laters someone to pay millions for the confession interview.

Based upon precedent and previous experience, his counsel / advisor will provide him with the line, "I never doped with that woman."

That is as close as we will get.

Now, in terms of a next move, can we add 'go to jail' on the list?

Dave.

Ok, I had to add this...

How about, "This F**kin jersey's not mine!"

That would be perfect.

Dave.

That poll is too old. ;) I voted the last one back then. Things are happening too fast, so now i think he´ll confess...

The reason Nike dropped out because they know this has months to run with additional lawsuits on Armstrong.

There will be no confession. Legally it's not possible.

His next step should be: hire more lawyers.

Doping: not a crime in the US. Bribery, perjury, witness intimidation: all crimes. This got real serious for him, real fast.

With Nike dropping him and him resigning as the chairman of Livestrong I'm wondering if there will be an emotion filled teary eyed admittance at the Livestrong 15th anniversary event this week. If he's ever going to do it it will be in front of a supportive crowd who will forgive him instantly.

He will never confess...he has nothing to gain by it.

imo

That was a move for a few months ago if he was going to pull it. His options now are
a) Try and disprove claims (keep the current fans on-side)
b) Be quite and 'retire'
c) Maintain innocence vocally but not try and push the issue.

Now that the Seventh Win Apologists are running out of worshippers, he'll probably setup a Lance Crucifx Fund in a bid to go down in style. Rent is cheaper in hell if you bring your own furniture :D
