Gesink has the best TT of the three. I think VDB will be the best in the mountains. I've doubts about Nibali, got a feeling he'll fail this TdF.

So 1 Gesink 2 JVDB 3 Nibali for me.

After watching CdD and TdS I can only see Gesink and JvdB taking this contest. I've never been really convinced of Nibali's qualities in GTs against the top contenders, and he has yet to show that he'll be ready for the Tour. At least Gesink and Van den Broeck could keep up with the other contenders. Gesink might have a slight edge atm, his TT'ing in Suisse shows he's actually one of the best among the other contenders. The only uncertainty he'll have is wether he'll be competitive over 3 weeks. That should be JvdB's biggest strenght. I just hope the Dutchies vs. Belgians battle won't escalate :p

I agree with Nibali being the best of the 3, it's an easy choice, but yes I agree you need to improve your punctuation and grammar - this is not SMS :)

Now all you need to do is find the 'comma' button, and you're good to go ;)

Gesink hasn't been that impressive uphill, but well, Nibali sure hasn't either, and with VDB it's still a bit of a question mark... the Dauphiné had only one serious climb, with virtually no attacks. Gesink I think has an edge in time trialing. His weak point (long flat TTs) he seems to have made his strength. He now even gains the most time on the flat parts. The downside is that he now seems to have turned into a Bradley Wiggins on the climbs as well.

edited my attempt at humour, but I really don't see why we'd expect VDB2 to be better over 3 weeks than Nibali or even Gesink...

Well I think VDB will be the best of the 3 this year because he really seems to be in good shape and is TT'ing very well.

Yes VDB2 and Gesink should be close, Nibali...it's hard to tell, hasn't shown anything this year since the early season, TOC and CDB was really bad, I get upset when champions can't perform at a decent level in the races they enter.

It's really open this year , and with no AC, no AS, Cadel is probably another possibility, and even Wiggins - but who knows.
Every time the commentators say "this year it's Wiggo's" some thing happens.

My tip is all the top blokes will falter, and it will be Vino / Menchov / Kreuziger
1 - 2 - 3 lol
