Nibali wants ban on SRM meters

Nibali thinks banning SRM meters in race will lead to better racing instead of banning the race radios. He said that based on Sky just riding on their power meters so they can control everything instead of based on feeling...

I mentioned this in the Twitter thread, but he didn't say anything about race radios actually.

Where did you find those comments?

Maybe he should learn how to use SRM properly, instead of wanting to ban them. It might help him to beat Sky.
I'm sure there were lots of dissatisfied cyclist when gears were introduced.
It's technical progress and it's available to everybody. Some use it better, some worse.

Nibali is speaking the truth, a true champion should know how to measure his efforts.

gilbert is also another rider completely against power meters and radios and i can be wrong on this but i think boonen and contador have also expressed similar opinions regarding power meters

The fact that many riders are against power meters doesn't mean they're bad for the sport. It just means these riders are against them.
Personal opinions aren't valid argument.

Of course they do. Real champion like gilbert, contador, boonen, cancellara don't need that ****.

I'm sure Sagan has the same opinion. It's also just ridiculous seeing Froome look down always.

Edit: parrulo, you should add a poll in this thread :D

have you ever raced a bike? not even at professional level just up a hill with a couple friends, have you?

being able to judge your effort is one of the most important qualities a cyclist can have, power meters eliminate that quality which is pathetic as it just turns cyclists into watt producing machines

I'm glad Nibali said this. Now let's hope the UCI will do something.

If Contador comments on this too it should get even more attention. And maybe the journalists too?
