When this is her competition.

Somebody hasn't missed a meal in the off-season, and it's not the Green Edge ladies.

Those shorts are a very unfortunate design, and I thought black was supposed to be slimming.

Its as if they purposely made all the photo's short and wide... what up with that? Or are these the riders we never see due to the flatness of the course?

hubba hubba! :D

Are you sure there aren't enforcers in cycling? Did #1 win it last year? There be some power in them thighs!

These ladies could plow through the men's peloton like a freight train.

Also interesting to note that 2 teams with 3 riders each failed to strategize a victory over the lone Rabo rider.

As you'd expect in the front group of a peloton which has been torn apart by the wind.

Of course it is, men have naturally significantly lower fat percentage than women.

Professional athletes should have a lower fat percentage than normal people. Especially in a sport like cycling. This is just a joke.

No wonder Vos can beat her? Don't you think it's pretty impressive for such a small, slim girl to outsprint this powerhouse?

Kirsten Wild is known for being a little... sturdy built, let's say. Hence she performs mainly in the flat races. Nothing to do with being unfit, or fat. Plenty of those around in the men's peloton.

Oh, and Maltiv, this isn't Vos' teammate. She rides for AA Drink, and in the Tour of Qatar for the Dutch national team.

I obviously don't know the fat percentage of said poster, but a fat percentage that for men is considered normal would be considered extremely underweight for women. Below 10% for women is considered extremely deadly and is equivalent to 2% for men, so no, you are wrong.

Go watch some women in high jump in athletics. Stop trying to excuse female cyclists, it's obviously not a professional sport yet.

Even in female tennis they're not this fat. I didn't add any percentages by the way, so how on earth could I be wrong?

Because you said that professional athletes should have lower fat percentage than lower people, in reply to me answering that women should under no condition have lower fat percentage than men? I haven't said anything about the weight of the cyclists here and I agree that they look a bit overweight to be cyclists (female athletes normally have 14%-20% fat, some of those probably higher than that).

It's true that you can't really compare male/female fat percentage. Fact is that she does not look like a professional athlete atm, more like your average women..

You're so proud of being a university student, yet you always bring up such stupid analogies. Comparing tennis to cycling is just silly.

Compared to Rafael Nadal, Mark Cavendish looks very unfit. And now?

Thanks for the laugh! Kind of makes up for the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit I picked up in the drive-thru this morning that I later found out they neglected to include my egg!
