As I predicted Russia is winning this easily. Poromaa and Niskanen doing an excellent leg. Norway should still get second though but the fight for third is wide open but putting their two best skiers in skating was just stupid.

Interesting to see what will be the effect of this snowfall and the wind in the biathlon pursuit races. On the women's side I can't see Olsbu losing in the shape she is in but in the men's I think Fillon Maillet may take the gold (he has been the best pursuit racer this year just like Olsbu).

Niskanen put 40 seconds into Bolshunov. Incredible.
He is insane.

The chase pack are taking back about 3s per km. If klaebo is 30 seconds down on Ustigov I know where my money is.

Bolsunov did not go deep at all. Niskanen insane leg. May affect races ahead.

Hyvärinen has bad skis, yeah. But before the start he said he has had the best performances of his life here, but they also have taken their toll. So, under recovered and forced to go above threshold at altitude -> kaboom.

Germans are one skier away from contending for medals. Again, Dobler not being in the relay is very strange.

Swedes again out of the medals, but it’s hardly a surprise. Two sprinters, a 21 year old (a very good 21 year old) and a guy who’s had to battle back problems all season. I don’t think it’s too bad.

Italy will be disappointed with that. De Fabiani really bled a lot of time. Pellegrino is in good form, and technically he looked the best I’ve seen him. I am guessing it’s those two for the team sprint. Maybe Maicol Rastelli could replace De Fabiani.

Hats off to Ustiugov. He’s endured a ton over the last 4 years. This is the most deserved medal for anyone in this sport, maybe in the entire Olympics.

Cramer should try to convince Pellegrino to shift his training more towards fistance skiing, he clearly has lots of potential.

Failure by Iversen but I don't think Valnes would have been better. Not sure about the health status of Røthe so he might not have made a difference either. Russia was just better today, solid by all 4.

Klæbo has great skis but he also does a lot more work on top of the hills.
