Looks like Poromaa took some tactics lessions from his buddy Klaebo.
I hope Germany holds on and Moch drops them and gets Bronze (behind Finnland)

This race has been a classic case of the elastic snapping and no one willing to take charge of the chase, even if on paper they are stronger. Anttola will deliver, I think.

Great race from the Canadians by the way, a little under the radar. I think McKeever had a decent race the other day, but they don't have the depth to be a team you'd expect to see here at this stage of the race, so kudos to them.
Frankly I only had Cyr on my radar.

Great 2nd half of the relay by Germany.
Sweden really blew it by not having Hägström in the final leg and Calle in a classic leg.

Calle is such a loser, quits every single time the going gets tough. Burman gets homesick after a week, if the Swedes are ever to return to the former glory days then a brand new mentality is needed.

Calle is not happy now in TV. He wanted to ski a classic leg. But coaches said he had to the last leg.
The akward moment when Calle is the voice of reason on the team...
Seriously, if the skiers understand what would make more sense and the coaches screw up there's no excuse.

And now all headlines in Sweden is about Poromaa giving national TV the finger because they filmed him to much after the race…

Two days ago it was revealed that Byström had his contract extended four years. Maybe not the wisest decision,

Isn't pretty much everyone from every nation, except Norway , loosers in mens XC?

They only had real competition in Russia, but it seems that won't be an issue for the next few years. Unless other countries can suddenly get a super talent, but it seems unlikely. And the Norwegians will always have a few % advantage in ski preparation. It's like in cycling if one team rode on carbon aero bikes and other had regular budget ones.

And the real losers of this are the spectators, because you can only watch so mutch of one team winning, before it becomes uninteresting and you watch something else.

Very hard loop for the women's 30km classics. Gaps are going to be massive I think.

Andersson has a really great chance to bounce back.

Poromaa is really a bit of s shithead...
He looked cooked towards the end of his leg, despite not doing that much work. Imo he's running out of steam and peaked a bit too early, around the French races after the Tour de Ski.

Those long climbs that aren't too steep for diagonal stride are also great for Niskanen (actually for both of them) and Hennig.

Even without the falls, broken poles and broken skis Italy wouldn't have won a medal on this course, in hinsight I'm pretty confident about that one.

Eurosport is well delayed. They showed Tandrevold leaving the gate just as her time popped up on the ibu feed at 0.9km.

Expecting Roiseland, being fresher, to finish the season well.

It looked like it was going to be a close battle, but Olsbu Røiseland makes it game over for the rest. If only Davidova has shot clear (she obviously wouldn't have won anyway, but a home podium would have been great). Tandrevold is also doing very well.

Great ski time from Tandrevold. Within 0,2 seconds of Lampič. Marte seems to be getting back to her best though, she didn't lose much on lap 3 at all here, since returning that has been the one area where she was still below the athlete we knew her to be from before this season. Voigt the one German who didn't get things right in Oberhof, now hitting her form so seems like maybe just a timing issue as she ended the season really strong last season too.
