Italy will replace the Czech Republic
On the map or in the World Cup calendar? The former would be surprising.

Interesting; I definitely thought Johaug would be in it until 2026 if she was going to all the trouble of coming back... oh well, this season will be interesting nonetheless.

I haven’t watched many races the last two season, but I downloaded a few this past week or so and I gotta say, Patrick Winterton is as terrible as ever. I had to mute a couple of times. The guy is just so predictable and just repeats himself and his favorites. Kept on rambling about Bjørgen and Northug as if they raced.

I feel sorry for those that are/have been stuck with his commentary.

She can do what she wants to do obviously but if true it just seems so blatantly self-serving. I was actually kind of excited about her comeback when it seemed like she was coming back to be a real skier; knowing this I'll be hoping Diggins and the Swedes kick her a** to be honest.
According to Fondoitalia she will only race the Norwegian season opening in Breitestolen, The Ruka distance races, the Lillehammer distance races and the NC Skiathlon and individual start before the World Championship, so only 4 world cup races right at the start.

That Trondheim course should suit her. I mean, if she’s within touching distance of say Sundling or Svahn at the top of the course, then she’s got a great chance of winning that race.

My personal favourite move from him is when he digresses about Canadian or American athletes even when they are running outside the top 50 in a given race.

That`s an impressive time for sure. I remember back in the days the word always was, to make it to the top level in XC skiing, you have to go sub 9 in 3000m. If you can`t do that, forget about about it.
One day later Lorenzo Romano (who got outsprinted by his younger brother on the 3000m) won the Croce d'Aune uphill rollerski skating racing, ahead of Carollo and Altimiras, who had won the race for 5 years in a row.

On the women's side it was total Gismondi domination, just like last year, but 1min faster, despite the wet road.

Lorenzo Romano did lots of uphill rollerski training this summer, in 8 days he did 8 Alpine Passes and 15,000m of altitude gain between the French, Italian and Swiss Alpes, with the 6th of those 8 days being a rest day.
