Ah, so like that one 20km skating Scandinavia Cup race where Northug suddenly did well last season and came 2nd.Yeah, not the hardest course (but neither is Trondheim..) and Northug went on blank skis and double poled the whole thing. All the others were on kick wax, and it did seem like the national team guys were struggling a bit with the skis.
It was a Norwegian Cup Race and classic, but yeah very similar. He did that race on blank skis as well (and there was a lot of talk afterwards that he had been changing track a lot in the climbs, kind of simulating skating).Ah, so like that one 20km skating Scandinavia Cup race where Northug suddenly did well last season and came 2nd.
The one who mentioned the blank skis thing was Cologna who was commenting an World Cup race one weekend later, when he added some context to the result. It was a Norwegian Cup Race and classic, but yeah very similar. I've only heared about Liechtenstein and Mexico being an option, but clearly Austria is more interesting mow that they have a bigger waxing budget and a capable main Skiman
Except Vonn has already demonstrated she's still competitive at the top level. He is the Lindsey Vonn of nordic skiing.

Italy? He’s working with the Austrian ski federation towards Austrian citizenship. It seems to actually be really serious as well.So was Northug actually just talking to Wierer about how to acquire Italian citizenship?
He’s said they’ve only Ben working towards Austria, I think they have some exemption in the rules of naturalization for “special people” which makes it doable without needing to live there for a specific time before. But I don’t really believe it before I see the confirmation that it’s done an dusted.I've only heared about Liechtenstein and Mexico being an option, but clearly Austria is more interesting mow that they have a bigger waxing budget and a capable main Skiman

I didn't watch it, but due to a lack of snow, they used the 3.3k lapDid they change the course in Les Rousses? Cause Lolberg and Odgen are on the podium, the times fast and the gaps small...
two short climbs followed by a 1.5k downhillSub 20 min for a 10. Easy course/fast conditions would be my guess. Perhaps not even a full 10km.
