You think she would have been picked ahead of JBB or Simon if she has been better than them here?
Realistically, JBB, Simon and Jeanmonnot are locks, unless they had had a torrid time here that made them unselectable, like if JBB had been shooting at 60% or something which isn't impossible, as they could then save her for the Mass Start like in Beijing. It was a straight fight between Richard and Michelon for the final spot, and Michelon has been better here.

Jeanmonnot has done her best to make it a one-sided race. The remaining trio shouldn't be able to mess this up, but you never know.

France just dominate biathlon nowadays...

Tandrevold just can't shoot standing at high altitude, Lien would have likely done better which is hilarious.

Having both Slovenia and Slovakia on the podium would be something, but it seems Kuzmina used most of her energy to close down Klemencic on her first lap.

That was an impressive Norwegian recovery to clinch silver. Elvira came close to throwing away the bronze, but Preuß couldn't take advantage of it. Great result for Austria without Gandler

Laegreid is losing all this lead I reckon.

He begged to differ, but he was also a bit lucky with a couple of shots. I didn't expect him to outski Perrot though.

Wright has given this his all, but it should be difficult for Doherty to keep them in the bronze battle.

Near perfect relay by the Norwegian men and French women. Good bronze medal for the German men.

I was impressed with Kirkeeide today, I think she will get her first individual medal tomorrow but Jeanmonot will win gold.

Andexer was actually gaining time on Elvira on the final lap.
Andexer is very talented and quite a strong skier, but it's taken her a bit of time to adjust to the World Cup level.

Maybe Preuß could have had more of an impact had she not raced the SMR as well, but overall I think it's a fair result. The German team fought their way back from a bad start but didn't quite have enough. Exciting for the Slovenes to do so well, Klemencic pops up from time to time with good results and Repinc is very young and still improving, she feels like she's been around because she had that great European Championships as an 18yo, but obviously Anamarija not needing a penalty loop is the biggest story - especially as she's actually been shooting a little way BELOW expectations here otherwise. But like the Slovaks and the American men's team, or the Estonian girls who nearly medaled last year, sadly they can get into the right ballpark but they just don't have enough depth at the top tier level or able to guts it out with the top teams without losing their shooting. All too often those teams go to the final leg having used up all their strongest athletes leaving a makeweight or junior facing off against the likes of Elvira, Franzi and Julia Simon.

Well, I got the Kirkeeide part right.

Great win for Öberg especially given that she is not at her best.

Another unpredictable race. Perhaps Jacquelin and Ponsiluoma could hit 20 if they were allowed to share targets.

Strong finish from Strømsheim. JTB getting a medal in his final WC race is fair enough, but a full Norwegian podium made the end less exciting than it promised to be ahead of the last shooting.

Strømsheim's dream weekend, yesterday wins his first gold medal in the relay and now his first individual gold medal.

The French underperformed today, Jacquelin only missed 3 and still finished far from the podium this probably explains why he wasn't in the relay.

And Iivo Niskanen will miss the Skiathlon because he got sick, talk about bad luck. Hopefully he'll be ready for the classic individual start.

If he isn't it's a Norwegian clean sweep in the men's field. Better he misses the skiathlon than individual though.

Yeah, fingers crossed.
Women's team sprint looks actually interesting. Sweden, Finland, Germany and also Switzerland, Norway and USA.
