It will be interesting to see if the French domination will continue after these championships. Unlike Tandrevold, Vittozzi is quite consistent right now, but with the big WC points being given to the race winners, I think it will be difficult for her to win the overall title.

Absolute lunacy on two fronts. Who would ever have thought Gus Schumacher would hold on to win even regardless that the Americans clearly wanted to target their home events - and even more bizarrre, who would ever have imagined that with a World Championships medal on the line, Andrejs Rastorgujevs would hold his nerves?!?!?!?!?!

I was there yesterday when he got 4th in the qualifier; the noise levels were insane and apparently Gus takes a lot of motivation from that. This is a huge huge day for him.

And what about Thomas Maloney Westgård? Could be more crazy than Schumacher’s win 😂🤣😂

Pellegrino 7th in a skating individual start, ahead of guys like Krüger, Moch, Lapalus and 2024 Vermeulen is as crazy as the TMW result.

Schumacher has always been a huge talent (Imo always more than Ogden) and I've always liked him. That said, looking at the fast times and small gaps it looks like it was a pretty specific race with fast conditions.

Pretty damn amazing by Schumacher. Today the boy became a man.

It wouldnt surprise me if Diggins mess it up. Emotional overload, too much trying to push as hard as possible and not enough focus on the technique. If she repeats her performances from Gällivare and Östersund she’ll win clearly, but it still wouldnt surprise me if she mess it up.

And shame on the FIS interviewer for forgetting Bill Koch. Schumacher is the first since Koch, not the first.
