It is wild. A man who finished 28th on 10/10 here in his biathlon career - losing 2 minutes on the skis to Johannes Thingnes Bø, and losing out despite better shooting to high speed luminaries like Anton Vidmar, Lucas Fratzscher and Antonin Guigonnat - is now smashing the World Cup in XC (Klæbo obviously excepted) to all parts in any distance skate.

I'm watching the 50k and wonder how can a mass start be considered more interesting than an interval, especially in a sport like CX?
You watch for ove an hour and next to nothing happens..

Deserved win for Karlsson after having to miss the Olympic 50k due to illness.

Svahn and Sundling completing the podium.
Dominant from Frida; the awesome Olympic 50k Bronze fight would never have happened had Frida not missed the race obviously.

Really impressed with Sundling and Svahn here.

Ebba feeling the effects of a little too much long racing it seems.

Lægreid clearly the best biathlete since the Olympics. That's 8th podium in a row.
This should be one of the biggest margins in a pursuit, I guess.

Yeah, rather unexpected. I could see Giacomel actually beating nearly all Italian Xc skiers in a 10km skating race, but that is a world class biathlete vs thd small fry talent pool that is modern Italian xc skiing.

Last time the top 10 averaged 4.1 misses?
My guess would be March 2021, women's Mass Start in Östersund.

Tandrevold won with 15/20 (first win with sub-80% shooting at the top level since Miriam Gössner's maiden win, that's how long it has been). Hettich (not yet -Walz) in 9th was the best shot of the day - with 16/20. Alimbekava and Preuß both podiumed with 14/20 (Franzi even hit 1/5 in the first stand), and Hanna Sola made the flower ceremony with 12/20. Julia Simon finished last with a catastrophic 5/20, after missing all but one of her prone targets.
