Yes, another one. :p

Just a quick spruik for those that are doing (or interested in) the SBS TDF Fantasy game, I've created a league for the CN forumers.

Mini League: CN Forum
Password: beetroot juice

Layout is shocking but there's some decent riders in there, some scores are just laughable. One word of advice is to read the rules carefully. ;)

Good luck!

holy crap those are the worse rankings I have ever seen....

Ryder is one of the best 5 cyclists in the tour apparently...

I think tomalaris made this.

regarding rules,

basically you can make many transfers?

However only your initial team scores for gc at the end. Same goes for the team.

Since there's only 50 mins left...

You make your 1st team GC biased.

In the first transfer window and before stage 1 lockout you can change up to 6 riders.

After Stage 7, do the same thing.

:D

Interesting concept but the layout this year is horrible!

yeah that is what I figured.

It requires some foresight and how you will manage your transfers.

7 out of 9 is the most I wanna do GC related without screwing up (not enough transfers) for the next part... I don't care too much if I miss out on 10 points in the GC if it means I get an extra transfer in the 1st week.

Yeah the Involvement is good.

I picked 6 for GC, 2 cheap sprinters I want for St1-7 and Gilbert. :D

Griepel at 2.5mill is just rofl

I figured to go full out sprintfest. At the start there's 7 stages out of 10 (TTT excluded ofc) you'd expect to end in a sprint, with only 2 really "puncheur" stages. Granted 2-3 of those other stages could end otherwise but I have faith in the sprint trains. :D

This looks to be the same as the one marketed in the UK as Garmin-Halfords game.

I'm playing in that one. Thought the deadline was tomorrow morning - came on to transfer out Sagan & one of the mountain guys for the first week & it's alreayd began - 2 down already, although can't see me needing the other 4 in the first week.

I wished I spent more time reading the rules or saw this thread yesterday. Didn't realise only the initial team scores for the GC at the end. Doh

Really? Then the company behind this is raking in the money.

Hopefully they can afford to hire decent web developers next year. :D

Gah, those who left some of their climbers in (such as Uddles-Cay) definitely have an advantage already over those like me who picked a sprint train :D

10th, 58 points off first, Think I've screwed up with my team selection and Swift. Funny story with Swift, I thought I had traded him to Rojas before this started but I guess it didn't go through for some reason. Still got Rojas but not sure if I would have used that extra trade to pick up Swift, would have been out of him, Boonen or Galimzyanov, maybe in Hagen because of all the points left over. :D

In a good position now so hopefully wont plummet. :D

The joker is the make or break of this game. You really need to use it when you have all of your riders in the top 20. I was lucky, Gilbert managed to get 20th. Only had Swift losing his wheel and Pettachi getting caught behind Dumolin, so 7/9. Expect the winner to have 9 riders finish top20 on their joker stage.

from where I am at the moment, the joker stage won't make any difference even if I have my 9 in the top 9
