Sup?

Received a E-mail from ChrisE today. Seems he read's the news ......who knew. Anyhow He had put a link in the email for this interwebs story.

http://blog.chron.com/sciguy/2012/1...plemented-salaries-of-cancer-agency-staffers/

This would be a Christmas research gift from ChrisE. Interesting name for a company that received a large grant.

"Then it was disclosed that an $11 million grant to a Dallas business, Peloton Therapeutics, never underwent a review of any kind."
Hey thanks Glenn for coming up with something new to add on this Armstrong TeamTailspin stuff.

thehog imitation...quoting ones self and posting a reply. :)

Thanks Glenn for thanking Glenn for thanking ChrisE for the new information.

Are you really in Newfoundland? Or is this another gag like the Red Lobster thing. Are there Red Lobsters in Newfoundland?

To keep a little bit on topic, that was a good link ChrisE provided. There was another thread on the cancer business I think, this is a real scandal. I wouldn't doubt that we will eventually know more about how a cancer charity made Armstrong a rich man.

Clicked onto this thread thinking that something interesting might be appearing ? i find there are two adults having a childish spat . Normally it costs me 300kb , to raise as page BUT today 22MB disappear ! Thought there was a " personal message " facility for people to use to resolve disputes ?

Whether chewy or the goat is right or wrong is of no concern to me , BUT , 25+pages of a spat , when LA has just been " advised by UCI " , is a fraud on my time and resources !

Now going to look for Adults discussing relevant material !

good luck with that :D

Who cares what you think really? You are just a doping apologist looking for a way out.

You seem not to understand the process whereby the results were stripped for years clearly outside of the SOL, meaning that nowhere did the SOL issue create enough friction to invalidate the disposition of the case. It was tested, it just wasn't tested by who you want it to have been tested by. Doesn't change the fact that the bodies that did test it found the original disposition valid. The fact that WADA is considering extending only reflects a desire to extinguish and ambiguity. Being ambiguous and being invalid are not the same thing BPC.

Look at the scoreboard.

It's pretty clear that you do... ;-)

It is quite fascinating how Chewbacca ...

...always gets it right.

If we had to put it to a vote, Chewy wins hands-down.

If you and Aleaj would pay attention to what he was saying you would find yourselves more learned... no matter how many degrees.

On that subject, Aleaj, I remember a quote that goes something like this:

Anyone that puts their degrees on their business card always loses. Either they show themselves as ignorant fools for insulting those that don't have as many, or they expose themselves as fools to those that have more or the same from more prestigious institutions.

The only thing that matters on here is your argument and whether or not people pay any attention. If your argument is full of holes, no number of degrees will patch them up.

Chewy, on the other hand, has a strong following for a reason.

(CHewbacca) Do you have a major in troll feeding?

As you pointed out, the scoreboard would prove you right, the rest is just useless babble.

Lancey-poo is on a downward slide to oblivion. Anything else is almost irrelevant.

Exactly.

Dave.

IAN Thorpe said he was "happy" at Lance Armstrong's downfall and congratulated the doping authorities that exposed the seven-time Tour de France winner as a drug cheat.

“I was happy. It shows that no matter who you are and whatever you do, you can fall,” Thorpe said on the closing day of the Doha Goals sporting forum.

The Australian Olympic legend paid tribute to the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and its president Travis Tygart who was at the heart of revealing Armstrong's systematic doping that helped him become the biggest name in the sport.

“The culture that reins in the United States and elsewhere is one of the reasons that lead to doping,” said Tygart.

“We have also uncovered doping in roller skating, a non-Olympic discipline that has been carrying out very sophisticated doping programs that we have never seen before and was carried out by the fathers and coaches.

“The fight against doping is at the centre of our debates here in Doha.”

Thorpe, once suspected of taking banned substances before being cleared, added: “it's right that we talk about the possibility of seeing changes introduced to our society across the world of sport. To see doping means that we have not yet managed to protect our people,” said Thorpe.

This says the latest unsealed court records are sealed again. True?

But by Tuesday night, the federal court's online case tracking system was again showing the case as sealed from public view.

The documents Robinson had ordered released had been available online for several hours earlier in the day. There was no document available Tuesday night showing if a court had ordered the case resealed, and Armstrong's attorneys did not immediately respond to telephone and email messages seeking comment.
