... The next in line for it is Nadzeya Ostapchuk. She will probably be thrilled to get a new medal after she had to hand back her London gold.

For those that don't know Ms. Ostapchuk completely failed the doping IQ test. I won't post a link to a photo of her from the London games. She was in the Tammy Thomas level of abuse.

As long as the other sports like Tennis and various track and field disciplines have cycling tied to the whipping post they will keep the doping controversy sufficiently hidden. The IOC is managing doping very well.

Had missed on the unearthing of that credit line, who spilled the beans? Why did he need one when he was supposedly worth $125 million? Seems stupid to pay interest when you have that kind of money?

It's not special to Wonderboy. Banks offer credit as soon as they can on mortgages and/or deposits they originate. There's really, really good money in it.

As for the "Lance is doomed" sarcasm, those legal bills are piling up. Is he doomed? I doubt it. Will he have to limit his lifestyle to keep the kids and baby mommas funded? Probably. Will he actually act responsibly for them? I don't know, but I doubt it.

I agree with Mr. Hamliton, Wonderboy is not going to be humbled by any of this. I'm waiting for the next scam as his way of getting the last word in.

But he doesn't have 125million cash.

He has a sum of cash but other money in assets and investments.

He can't call early on many of those assets without loss or penalty.

Cash flow is his biggest problem. It's starts to tie a noose around your neck and gets tighter and tighter.

You begin to sell assets below their market value and for lower than your of original investment.

Horrible situation to be in....

It is called leveraging. If return on assets and asset growth exceed costs of borrowing then you are increasing your wealth without any personal exertion.

Alternatively, Wonderboy could have mortgaged previously unencumbered assets and moved the proceeds of that funding out of the reach of future creditors.

He needs cash flow. Nothing coming in. A lot going out.

Lance's lawyers doing very well. Good on them. They should keep bleeding him dry.

As Tyler suggested, Lance's most treasured asset is gone. He'll need to look long and far to find any hero worshippers.

But maybe this is better than when Armstrong is in one of his "I'm gonna make your life a living f*+!ing hell" moods.

http://deadspin.com/5951473/excerpt...hat-make-lance-armstrong-look-like-an-*******

The cumulative 'hate' by all of the haters doesn't total even one drop of the venom that Lance spews.

Or rather, quoting non other than Livestrong.com, all of the negative comments that have ever been posted about Lance on all Internet forums are meek compared to a guy that "...cannot recognize the difference between right and wrong. ... Sociopaths often feel they are superior to everyone else."

Given how "...contemptuous" Lance is, of everyone always, MarkVW's comment has all the appearance of a hero worshiper who aspires to also feel "...superior to everyone else."

Just as cited in the article you referenced, Lance "...can become irritable and annoyed, which sometimes results in threats, verbal abuse and other acts of aggression."

As Lance defines sociopath, MarkVW's post defines Troll.

Dave.

That Alp373 tard in the comments will probably always be willing to buy him a beer.

That and $50 will get him into the VIP room at the Yellow/Wild Rose. Life will go on. Who comes up with the $50 and gets the lap dance will be the choice of the day...

I don't understand why Hamilton is so scared of Armstrong.

He is quoted in a cycling news article as saying he fears Lance is going to "hit back". At who? And why does he fear this?

At this point, what could he possibly say to hurt anyone who's testified against him?

If it's true that Armstrong is hacking Hamilton's email and bugging his phone, then time to take it old school. Tyler needs to find him and punch him in the face.

Get it over with already.

FINALLY....for years I wondered why this guy was not found in a ditch with some serious jungle justice applied to his scrawny ***.

In other pro sports, hockey for instance, when there is bad shlt happening, the players take matters in their own hands, privately. Right or wrong. I can say without a doubt that if someone sends a veiled threat to my wife by text or refers to her in a deposition in an unflattering light, there would be no safe place for him. Why the f... has this guy gotten off so lightly on stuff that should have been dealt with hard and fast by the people he wronged??

To be honest I thought the same. But it's a true reflection of the humility of Floyd, Mrs. A, Emma and the rest of the gang that they conducted themselves so professionally throughout the entire ordeal.

If this was 1930s Chicago he'd be under a bridge.

None the less he is slowly drowning in the bile of his own doings. So much more satisfying to watch.

I don't believe TH used the word "fear" in its dictionary sense of being personally scared or threatened.

It could be fear of the worst for all in cycling if sociopath Armstrong is true to past form and attempts retribution against all those who wronged him.

In The Secret Race Tyler describes two times where he seems to have been quite willing to go at it with Armstrong, the first time after learning from Floyd that Lance ratted him out to the UCI--Tyler got in LA's face at a race and told him exactly what he thought of him, and the other time at the restaurant in Aspen, when LA was going off at him and Tyler said they should continue the discussion outside. Besides which, physically assaulting a guy who spends most of his time talking with high-priced lawyers is a good way to lose both time and money.

Well, let's see.

He's still backed by the guy that owns the UCI's American subsidiary.
He's on the friendliest terms possible with Hein and Pat, the guys running worldwide cycling. Dog forbid someone on the wrong side of some Wonderboy drama draw their ire.
He with Thom Wiesel drummed up the money became THE American money magnet for pro cycling and all were looking to turn their on-bike experience into an off-bike, bike racing job.
As theHog stated, most were far, far more professional/mature and not willing to lawyer up for middle school drama.

Points well taken.

With no intention of diminishing your statement, just felt a light note was in order to observe that I always prefer it when theHog quotes themselves.

TH apparently has moved from Colorado because he thought he was being harassed, if I'm not mistaken. Said something about it being too close to Texas, which is "Armstrong country".

This is my point-what could Armstrong possibly do to these people? I'm not understanding this at all.

I once had a goon from some insurance company stalk me, ostensibly to see if I was actually hurt by their client in a car accident. He was overtly aggressive in his demeanor-disturbingly so, so I acted.

He spent a good time glaring at me from a distance and all my neighbors noticed what he was doing. He then got closer and stood about five feet from where I was standing with my little niece, who was playing with her friends at the time in front of my apartment building.

He then followed me into the entrance and stood there staring directly at me while I got on the horn and alerted my peeps, who all came downstairs and surrounded him until he realized he should leave. Took all of five seconds for homeboy to get the message, and he left.

Sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire.

Armstrong tends to "destroy people" by focusing on hurting people's wallet through interrupting their income or suing them.

Landis - no job offer
Lemond - bike business
Hamilton - tipping off the UCI
Walsh - suing & job prospects
O' Reilly - job loss
Steffen - job loss

The list goes on.

The Dallas News piece is hardly a defense of Lance. Here's how it ends:

Now the Armstrong brand will forever be that of a fighter, a survivor and a cunning, steely-eyed liar.

The Dallas Morning News Texan of the Year is a distinction we bestow for impact, be it for better or for worse. It reflects the prominence of what Texans do, not what we’d prefer them to do.

Armstrong’s crash to Earth in 2012, with all its painful reverberations, leaves a Texas-size crater that qualifies him as a finalist for this year’s distinction. His fall wasn’t pleasant to behold. If nothing else, it’s a lesson about the perils of hero worship.
