The problem is Lance is still taking up our lives by spewing lies and fighting lawsuits.

As regards my signature, it's an indication of how little I puts here the last year or so.
You won't find much reference to lance on twitter. More to do with that race which is being dominated by dopers over In Spain. You see race, doping didn't end with lance

Yup. It long ago veered into Creepy Land. Here is a clue. If you belong to a small circle of Internet contacts who circulate topless pics of Armstrong along with what he did on the weekend, pull back for a moment and question yourself about the situation. If you are a fifty year old dude instead of a thirteen year old girl then that is a strong sign you have an unhealthy avocation that is not too many steps above being involved in a child porn ring.

Not even close. Having had some pretty bad stuff done to me as a kid, I can say "hatin' on Armstrong," is no where near the magnitude of a kiddie porn ring.

It's a strange comparison to pick, really.

Though one of the sick ironies of all of this, is that Floyd Landis may profit from the Qui Tam case. I have a hard time believing Landis didn't know his camp was going to blackmail Lemond with Lemond's sexual abuse history.

Being antidoping and being a fan of a doped up sport--with doping support from the very apex of the UCI--presents its own hypocrisy issues.

Few of us are immune to that criticism.

It sounds suspiciously like nothing has changed and effort would be better expended on what is happening now rather than what happened a decade ago.

The only thing this Armstrong charade does is promote the idea that doping is the fault of a few bad guys instead of being baked into the sport at all levels.

The fun thing about pro cycling is that it NEVER will change. It will always be a filthy doped up sport, shot through with cheaters. It is one thing in this world that you can absolutely rely upon.

Things could change if there was honest governance that could admit the extent of doping in the past and plan a transition to a different future. Instead everyone wants to blame individuals.

I would elaborate but RR has showed up and started reporting posts he does not like so it would be a waste of time.

"Honest governance" means ripping apart a ton of national federations. The leaders of those federations are insanely well-entrenched. I'm not blaming individuals (except the truly responsible individuals who pay dues to UCI federations).
