One has to wonder how damages can be proved in this type of case.

But there will be legal expenses to defend...

Edit: false advertising.... Hmmm. Good luck with that I guess.

I am all for companies that were defrauded like SCA or USPS but these type of lawsuits are ridiculous.
If you were dumb enough to buy these products to be like Lance you too should swallow your pride and write it off as an idiot tax.

I agree completely.....but I also think that there are plenty more of these suits coming, from people who believed in the miracle, and thought that an endorsement from LA was as good as gold.

They are pi55ed for having been made fools of by someone turning out to be a complete fraud.

Among people who take the time and effort to go faster/be better in their sport, I agree. But, I'm good with this effort.

It is protecting some people from themselves, but in another way, the idea is there is some tiny nugget of truth to health claims was a priority for marketing regulations in the U.S.

The effort involved pays some service to the idea that a consumer can have some confidence in products for sale, specifically health claims. As a generally enforced principal (ple???), that's going away. But, if these Lawyers get in for a settlement, then I'm okay with that.

I love a happy ending.

I still have little to no sympathy for those who bought FRS because of their blind admiration for Wonderboy. There are too many of us who were howling truth to the masses for years, and we were ignored. We were chastised. We were confronted by idiots like Coolhand, etc. They could have figured it out if they had just opened their eyes, but they wanted to taste that yummy fortified Mountain Dew instead. FRS was the Kool-Aid for fanboys. I hope none of them get back their 3 cents per can they are seeking.

"Livestrong bracelet
Dombrowski can somewhat thank Lance Armstrong for his success. He raced for the under-23 development team that Armstrong created. At times, the former great, now known as a drug cheat, would join the youngsters for training rides, including the time he offered a $1,000 prize to the first rider atop Figueroa Mountain. Armstrong won and kept his money.

What happened to Dombrowski’s yellow Livestrong wristband that Armstrong made so popular?

During a Sky meeting in London last October, Dombrowski and fellow American Ian Boswell were initiated. During a “drink-off” Wiggins leaned over and told his new teammate he had to remove the yellow wristband. Though initially associated with the cancer fight, it now has too many negative associations...."

Well, first of all, Lance, you, excuse me, HE, Lance, AKA Wonderboy was never in the same league as the past champions mentioned. Not ever. Perhaps he compares favorably to a FuYu Li?

Now, a few extra penalties start. You know, the laws broken while committing sports fraud. Is it okay that he committed serial perjury and fraud for at least a decade? What about the intimidation? Is it okay to just break laws as long as one can get away with it? Because that's exactly what you are advocating.

What about the guys that put this whole fraudulent scheme together? They get a free ride too? Would it be okay if MLB was auctioning off the right to play the World Series and then still tried to call it a game?

I get it, the bromance is still on for you, but you are still being lied to and treated with complete contempt by Wonderboy, Wiesel/USA Cycling/UCI. I don't know why you like that, but whatever.
I am not advocating letting Wonder Boy go free. What I am advocating is that we not put all the guilt on the most conspicuous one and pretend that by doing that we have cleaned up the sport. Since all have drugged all should pay the cost.

Nice strawman

Nobody has blamed Lance for all of the sports guilt, not even close. I have not seen anyone claiming that because Lance is banned the sport is now clean.

Stop with the nonsense, on this we can surely agree.

Armstrong did more than dope. Armstrong benefitted many times more than others who dopped aswell. Not a level playing field.
