Funny posts guys!

Wow! What an awesome find. The article alone is just scathing, but those comments are something else! I started thinking about a few quotes I could grab and re-post here, but every single comment there seems to be it's own treasure trove! They make the Clinic look like a bunch of passive Pollyannas!

A noteworthy fact about Gawker is that they were the folks that had the Rob Ford crack cocaine video.

As nasty as that article is, they know how to expose sociopaths.

And, just a footnote, that Lance is clearly in good company now.

Dave.

RaceRadio

Well I know he screwed my wife Betsy. I'm not going to say if that was literal or figurative or if my fat sockpuppet The Hog was there. Susan the cat lover would know. Anyways all my talking it up in cycling news got him ruined.

Pretty sure not the real Race Radio.

Perfect!

Love the new sig.

BTW - Mercier was heard to say, "Why shouldn't Lance drink and drive? Other people do it. He's just trying to level the playing field."

Dave.

Hilarious posts! Lance is truly practicing his new motto of making reparations

Of course we should all be so lucky that a hit and run driver actually returns to the scene to make things right.

The intolerance to cycling and loathing all bike riders is so typical though.

Absolutely. I was thinking about posting something about that.

He has inspired too many men who should never wear spandex onesies to wear spandex onesies and ride their dumb little bikes on the side of the highway.

It really is terrible, would they have congratulated him if he had hit a cyclist?

he has, he has done inverted road rage before.

Are you deliberately missing Le breton's point, or have you no sympathy with it? Most of what I read in that story http://newsfeed.gawker.com/confident...7629/+tcberman. seemed fair enough to me, except for the nasty dig about inspiring men who should never wear spandex onesies to wear spandex onesies and ride their dumb little bikes on the side of the highway.

no, i was pointing out the irony when Armstrong has beaten up some guy on the roadside. which you are making is deplorable and criminal. I am adding this point that Armstrong has already done thuggish criminal behaviour too.

No, I am writing in support of the riders in "spandex onesies" who "ride their dumb little bikes" and don't deserve to be disparaged by journalists. This was not an Armstrong remark. You have done your best to turn the original observations including one by rhubroma into something else.

no, i was riffing on the threats to cyclists. remember, the thread or gawker article was on Lance.

Right the incident Tyler reported. I know, it is despicable. However, at the same time, I really can't tolerate those druged on their cars and sitting on their fat arses hating cyclists.

I have been threatend with a baseball bat just for having the temerity to be on the (margin) of the road.

If more people road bikes and drove less, the world would be happier I'm sure (or at least less scornful).

I was trying to agree. And just making some aside on LAnce's criminal road rage. I would not even remember the particulars of the anecdote.

And yes, driving 3 tonne of metal SUV, that is fatal if they wish to flick you. And it has occurred here in Australia, so I know. Not trying to issue the apologia

If i have to thank Lance for something is that he moved a lot of doucchebags from cars to bikes. Its not perfect but a better world.

Thought twice about that one.

Spandex onesies?

Like speedos - remember the triathlon connection - on folks that really shouldn't wear speedos? Or, perhaps referring to the mankini.

Lance did inspire a lot of people to ride bikes on the side of the highway who probably shouldn't be riding there, while wearing clothes a few sizes too small for them while making Borat looked like he was dressed for a black tie affair.

Not a pretty picture, and not good ambassadors for cycling.

Dave.

Yours is a top post and photo! ;)

Probably the journalist who wrote "spandex onesies" does not know much about the sport or what cyclists generally wear and he has little sympathy with riders he sees on the roads, but he still has a good handle on LA's defects!

I think the expression was probably a reference to skin-suits, which are much in evidence on the roads of Britain, where we do have a time trial tradition, which I share despite not necessarily looking good in the kit!

This just in from Italy.

CONI has advised that one of the cars was about to give testimony against Ferrari.

Good thing Lance chased it down.

Dave.

allegedly one of the cars was a Renault with a personalised licence plate; "BSSN51"...

And what the hell is Spandex?
Wasn't that something in the early 80's?
