I was bummed when I read that LA wanted to enter a master's swim meet.

As an American, I had found it easy to give the guy the benefit of the doubt for a lot of years. I thought his first TdF victory was an amazing accomplishment. With each successive victory, I realized how doped he and his team were and became less of a fan. By the time the seventh one rolled around, I wasn't rooting against him, but I WAS rooting for other riders to win. Obviously I was no longer a fan.

I couldn't stand to watch during his comeback with Astana. He went from suspicious rider to arrogant jerk, in my opinion.

The Oprah interview did a lot to galvanize that opinion of mine, as did reading about his interactions with Betsy, his sonier (sp?), and others.

But, to enter a local swim meet is just plain pathetic. In my opinion, master's swimming exists for the same reason master's cycling does - so older athletes with jobs and families have some motivation to get out and stay fit and give-it-a-go in a competition every now and then. Master's events are awesome for encouraging us to keep fit as we age. What a positive and humble thing they are!

But, for LA, it seemed a last gasp at trying to achieve the top step of a podium. The man's ego seems so incredible fragile that unless he is standing a step higher than the others he is miserable.

What next?

He might become one of those little league coaches who accosts a volunteer umpire at the YMCA.

I hate to say this about another human, but LA has become a truly pathetic waste.

A little help please. About 2 1/2 weeks ago I found a link on a clinic thread, don't know which one, to a France 2 documentary about Armstrong. I think it was 1 hour and a half long. Anyway, I started watching it and I lost the link. It began with Hamilton showing what they do on a hotel room, to prevent hidden cameras. Anybody remember this and can give me the link? Thanks!
Sorry for off topic.

Here it is. It was a report on Complément d'Enquête.

Here is a link (might be country protected) to a Stade 2 report on the UCI and McQuaid who runs away from reporters (also shown in the Complément d'Enquête if I remember correctly).

David Walsh on radio this morning confirmed that Sunday Times were offered £300,000.00STG from Armstrong. ST rejected it. The offer went up to 400K. Walsh thinks the final settlement will be in the region of 800/900kstg and he doubts there will an exclusive interview as part of that settlement. Armstrong has been told to lay low and shut up.

And for the first time, he is heeding this advice or, for that matter, anyone's advice?

He must be going shades of scarlet.

Or, creating a new uproar by trying to compete in a master's swimming competition and circumvent his lifetime ban?

With Lance you can be sure that another car wreck is around the corner.

Dave.

The rest of his life seems likely to pan out as travelling from one wreck to the next. It aint gonna be pretty.

Kimmage, Walsh and Alan English were on Newstalk this morning. Down the end of the page you can listen back. It's in 3 parts.

Wishful thinking I'm sure. Pharmstrong cannot keep his trap shut, no matter how much he buries himself.

You know things suck when you have to sell your house, for a lot less then what it was listed for.

Not a good sign.

The sale is to the "LLSK Revocable Trust" from the "LEA Revocable trust." Sounds like Lance is shielding an asset, not selling a home.

Would be of interest to get the specifics of the LLSK Revocable Trust. I'm going to guess it might be his kids or some close person to him where he gets to live in it, after listing another address as his residence even though he will live in it all the time.

This article says the property sold for $3.1M on April 1. The purchaser was LLSK Revocable Trust (Al Koehler) and the seller was LEA Revocable Trust (Lance). Based on what Koehler said in the first article, this sounds like a genuine arms length transaction to me. But I may be wrong. Interesting the property was listed at $10M and sold for 1/3 of that. The purchaser got a great deal.

The article is wrong. It sold for more then $3.1M. This figure is only the loan amount, the purchase price was higher.

To be fair I doubt it is an attempt to hide assets Texas is a homestead state. He would have been able to keep his house in most events. More likely he needs funds and found a bottom feeder who gave him a low ball price
