It would be neat to see the role of certain sponsors in enabling armstrong, but I doubt we'd get the truth about that anyway. .

Trek/Oakley would want no part of that, thats for sure. I don't care what anyone says, imo Trek looks the worst of all(besides the ******s @ Nike), and their bottom line has had to have taken a hit.

Whoa! Check out the spacers on that gold pimp edition Trek.

That Gold edition is either from Saddam Hussein's collection or Donald Trump’s collection - both have the same decoration sense.

The Pièces à Conviction documentary looked closely at Nike's and Trek's role in the doping cover-up. Nike's $500K payoff to Verbruggen following the 1999 positives was discussed, as well as Trek blackmailing Lemond (Burke even admits to blackmail in a recorded phone message) to force him to retract his famous "biggest fraud" statement.

Nike released a statement denying the payoff, but a quick look at the wording would suggest that the denial is an out and out lie. Burke and Trek willingly and actively set out to destroy the Lemond brand and do as much damage to Lemond as possible.

These sponsors knew exactly what was going on, and deserve to pay the price in the aftermath.

I think they are from the Don "The Magic" Juan collection

Great post! Agree completely. That's why I said that, it'll expose them even more(even after all that). I saw a bad *** LeMond bike today that I'd never seen before, made me wish the company was still around. Trek is just awful. I live in arguably the cycling capitol of the US in SoCal, on any given day I see tons of road bikes. I don't see many Treks in the bunch. My friend who has a few nice Bianchis says "Treks are junk, they're doper bikes. I don't give them a dime of my money for supporting that POS doper". That about sums it up.

Most concerning is the headstem to saddle height.

What sort of Fred was riding this bike?

The bikes are tiny, so I imagine they are owned by a woman. I've known a few to have 'Livestrong' tattoed on their bodies - in several languages - and their hearts.

Talk about 'ewww.'

Monkeymouth still thinks everyone doped to win TdF.

Boy he must hate it to hear LeMond as the only American winner of the TdF.

Gives me a good feeling to know how much that hurts Monkeymouth.
