I don't want to be ignoring Lance if he's going to take down Ferrari, Hein, Pat etc.

If he was going to do that, he would've dont it by now. He wants back into the competitive world of sport and he is going to be in litigation probably for the next decade so now would be the time to drop the bomb on UCI and cut a deal with USADA, but he has closed that door, so this is all a look at me I am Monkeymouth the greatest sporting fraud in the history along with just trolling the sport that he f**ked good and proper making mischief.

I would love a flim crew to turn up with someone from ASO to his house in Austin to collect the Maillot Jaune's. That would be funny viewing.

Most cyclist aren't very smart and can't follow logic.

Why do Lance and others say that you have to dope to win the TDF?

If everybody is clean, then wouldn't that mean that you don't have to dope to win?

That is the point of a fair playing field. If nobody is doping, then it IS possible to win without doing it...duh.

Because being ignored is an anathema to Armstrong, he just may take down Ferrari, Hein, Pat etc.

Wow, I read the negative comments on that Daily News article. It might be my imagination, but it seems as if Lance himself is replying in force! What do you think?

Wow, Armstrong really went there, pulling the "but LeMond" card, and doing it all passive-aggressive style on twitter. I'm now more convinced than ever that half of the CN trolls are actually LA himself.

Dude is even more pathetic than I realized.

I think back on http://www.facts4lance.com and realize that facts have never been on his side.

Edit: Hilarious! That website is now a weight loss product...I think we know that Froome followed the link...

He does have a lot of time on this hand these days. It's not like he has any triathlons to train for or anthing. :D

I don't know about Wonderboy taking down the UCI. They are their own source of authority with the backing of the IOC like royalty. Look back at the last FIFA bribing scandal. FIFA's still there.

My advice for Wonderboy is to wait for the next IOC chief and see how elections at the UCI shake out. Then pull the trigger on another UCI scandal. It would be interesting to hear if Wonderboy would drag ASO into the mess.

I don't know how that would get his ban reduced though. Given Wonderboy's "the rules are for everyone else" attitude, he may have finally hit a roadblock.

I don't understand why "Fat" Pat is at the center of all this when the large majority of Armstrong's reign of terror took place under the close watch of Hein Verbruggen.

Maybe because Lance and Hien are still business partners?

This is the comment that caught my eye the most from the interview-

“I respect Jalabert but he is just lying at the moment. He knows very well that Michele Ferrari was ONCE’s team doctor in the nineties.”

I contend the biggest bombshell of the interview with Le Monde was this quote. This is the first time Armstrong's mentioned Dr. Ferrari being associated with organized team doping-could this be the beginning of Armstrong finally throwing these guys under the bus?

The surprising thing about that is Ferrari has done very little publicly annoy Armstrong.

I guess it's just a case of Armstrong wanting to appear more candid as part of his redeem myself a la Bill Clinton strategy.

That said after Pat said "Lance Armstrong has no place in cycling" and Verbruggen has skilfully managed to distance himself from Armstrong he has got to be a lot more annoyed with them.

The only thing Ferrari said was Armstrong would have won anyway.

If Karma existed there would be a lot more repercussions for Hein.

Easy to explain. His current strategy is to demonstrate that he was just one of the gang, no different than Jalabert for example.

It is hard to keep all the lies and myths straight when you are desperate.

Yes.

The reference to Ferrari and ONCE indicates to me that not all is cool anymore between the reservoir dogs. It might be the start of the 'un-zipp the lips' campaign. Armstrong 7.0.

If he decided to tell all and bring down Hein and Pat I would have to at least give Lance some credit. Some may say desperation which does make sense but its better than him not saying anything.

I dont think hell get much ban reduction out of it. Who cares if hes trying to get back at UCI for personal reasons. It could potentially move the sport forward

To be replaced with.... Cookson?? Plant?? The management committee would hire one of their own, not get themselves into more controversy. It's damage control only. Contain the controversy!

You'd get a slightly different organization, but all the inconsistencies, secret list of favored riders, blacklisted riders, rules enforcements of the day/month/year would still be there.

I see and understand your points. My hatred for Pat probably gets in the way because I say anyone is better than McQuaid.

Its a tough situation with no completely correct answers but I honestly believe Cookson will do a better job that Pat.

The fact is, no one has done more to make doping in sports seem like an evil than Lance Armstrong in his prime, desperately, passionately, ferociously guarding the perception that he was clean.

I have written pages and pages explaining why Armstrong deserves more acrimony than other riders. She says more in one sentence than I ever did.

Bravo.

Good stuff. It's why I always called the guy "the talent" portion of the team that did the fraud. Based on Race Radio's prior posts, he's not on speaking terms with the guy who allegedly inflated the scam, Thom Wiesel, and probably a few others. No more management team preparing him for interviews where he would improvise PR gold, hopelessly mixing a for-profit and non-profit, and more.

Without a team doing all the prep, Wonderboy 2013 as described in the article is exactly what you get.
