I dont recall any of the media, and there were lots, who did not buy into Armstrong in 2009 when he told Kimmage he was "not worth the chair he was sitting on"....

Heck the media have barely coughed when 12/13 past TdF winners want Armstrong name back on the winners lists.....

LAF is only a new slush fund.

There are plenty in the world still willing to buy into Armstrong and the Cancer Jesus. Still see idiots like Gareth Bale wearing his yella wristband and plenty still wear their livewrong t-shirts. I am sure LAF will be a nice little earner for Armstrong when the likes of Merckx, Hinault, Indurain, Roche, Riis, Sastre, Evans, Wiggins and Froome turn up to ride the LAF granfondos

There were some good national level media that started asking questions and stopped buying the BS. David Epstein, Selena Roberts, Gwen Knapp, Reed, Giford...... Expect the early years Livestrong to be dissected and these days people are more open to talking.

That interview underlines that he hasn't changed one bit. A sociopath never does. I'm sure there are gullible people out there who he can still manipulate.

Even as gullible as the American public is, I don't see LAF 2.0 going anywhere. You can't lie as vociferously as he did for all those years, playing his supporters like fools and viciously attacking his detractors, and expect everyone to come back into the fold. It's dead on arrival.

If Lance was as simple as that I would agree.

Sadly he still wants to try to control the message. If he carries on with his shenanigans for much longer Betsy will soon get on the mic ****ed and slap him down. A queue of others with credibility behind her who don't believe the hype.

Resistance is futile, try as he might he simply can't win and I feel embarrassed him trying to play the game now he's seriously lacking the cards. Too scared to fold 15 years of nuclear hands from 95-10 blowing the whole sport to bits that wins the full yellow house and stupidly ends up always a busted flush.

Setting up laf2 as a charity for NPD and not cancer would be a masterstoke though...

Lance's creditors are coming. If Lance puts his money in a trust or foundation, it will be more difficult for SCA, the US, or other creditors to touch it later.

I don't see any problem with him attracting money. Plenty of suckers left.

Not that easy for him. There are challenges to collecting on any judgement, but his financial shell game will be quite transparent in its motives, and purpose.

Of course they are - but this manoeuvre will be as noticeable to a judge ruling on his case as it will to everyone else who sees right through it. Not only is it like playing cards with a hopeless deck - I'll add attempting to play fool's mate in chess.

I thought a clever man like he undoubtedly is would have realised by now he could still win the jackpot by simply folding completely, toppling his king and scorching the cycling earth for those 15 years. Hopefully he'll figure that out sooner rather than later - like many of those who suffer from NPD have to for great therapy and in his case also a complete yellow redemption.

Until then it's more and more bad hands, sadly...

Mark, keep in mind in most jurisdictions there are laws to prevent a debtor or potential debtor transferring assets to defeat its creditors. In some jurisdictions they are referred to as "fraudulent preferences" This is a term of art and does not necessarily imply actual fraud but the transfer of assets to trusts or foundations or to the wife and kids etc. are similar in nature to fraud.

Most jurisdictions enable the courts to void these transfers. If there is evidence of LA doing this it would reveal that his financial position is precarious in the face of the SCA and Qui Tam actions.

I suspect the lawyers such as Tillotson, the DOJ lawyers and Landis's lawyer are on the lookout for this kind of behaviour by LA.

I'm afraid that mistake is yours fella - there's not just one type of clever. Stupid people forget what they've lied about to who. Perhaps I should have said 'smart' but to manipulate and control people and the message requires a level of grey matter not disimmalar to those who achieve well in academia.

Lance could of course prove this by posting his complete wiki on doping online which is all in his head :D

Lance has always been playing a delaying game. A fraudulent transfer is just another tool in the toolbox. I don't think Lance is above the tactic. I agree that there are tools to unwind or void such transfers, but those actions take time.
