What do you mean?

NormanD said:
Leave it to Armstrong to take the glory out of what would have been a beautiful Tour win for Alberto. It's all about Lance. Two of my greatest heros, Lance and Brett Favre have shown their true colors: It is not about the team it is me. I now wish both of them to go away and stay retired. Johan B. and LA sold, and continue to sell, Alberto out (Johan doesn't have the balls to tell Armstrong "No"). Their only concern is their own fame and fortune. Pity.

What do you mean by this? The new team announcement? For my money Lance has been a very good teammate all through the tour, more so since Contador became the unambiguous leader. And I don't buy the argument that Lance staying in the front part of the (Stage 3?) split when Columbia was driving it and Alberto missed the split was a dirty move. I don't think you can make a good argument that Contador has been a team player at all. Not to detract from his great ability and accomplishment as a rider, but I don't think he has been a good teammate.

AS he told Frankie after Verbier, he has 7 at home (plus another 60+) MJ, so he can wear them around the house until his heart is content. :D

Yes Publicus. Very funny indeed:p

I was talking to a training buddy yesterday that is a great Lance fan, but has little knowledge about Lance's "persona", as 95% of all the fans here in Brazil.

It is very unfortunate that he decided to do a come back. In the media interviews you heard him talk almost nothing about "the cause" and only bashing AC all the time. Aftear all, the come back was about the fundation or not ?

Wow you kid's are unbelievable. I don't think you understand what LA was saying about "legends" and you apparently have no respect or understanding of the history of cycling. LA is not saying the team should have worked to put him in yellow since he is a "legend". In the same interview, after the comments about Indurain, AL say's that AC is faster than he was in 1999, and that AC was was not merely good on Verbier, he was very, very good, and also that AC is super. If makes LA an asshat in your eyes, you have serious problems and should get professional help.

BTW, I would love to see any of you talk to LA face to face and repeat some of the BS you say here anonymously. If you ever met him, you would probably ask LA for his autograph instead :D

He has been a twittering, shit talking little diva who is mourning the FACT that he can't win anymore. You can see how the sour grapes have affected his face if you watched him climb that hill today...He is a waste of oxygen.

Greg LeMond:

(A ma connaissance, c'est un chiffre qui n'a jamais été atteint par aucun athlète, dans aucun sport.) To my knowledge, this is a figure that has never been achieved by any athlete in any sport... (Il ya quelque chose qui cloche.) There is something wrong. (Il serait intéressant de savoir ce qu'il ya sous le capot). It would be interesting to know what's under the hood.

Greg LeMond every year says the same thing about the tour winners. He's on his own agenda to make it proven that cycling is dirty now and that when he rode it wasn't. Some people need to squawk to feel relavent.

Andy was only 43 seconds back and gained time in the last 2 kms. He's doping too then. Then if Andy's doping, so too is Frank. How can a sprinter go off the front and solo 2 climbs to get sprint points, means Thor is doping too. Wiggins was a track specialist that in less then a year became a top 10 climber, dope. Armstrong is not going to win this tour, why, no dope this time around. Hmmm, guess they are all doping at some time or the other.

Bring LA to me. I'll say it to his face. I'll tell him he's a wa3ker. Ill also bring my mate Chris Bassons. We'll both laugh at his one testy & give him a poke in his skinny ribs.

Well that didn't take long, as I stated in this post awhile ago. http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showpost.php?p=55065&postcount=285

Here it comes.

LA. Y lo que hizo en Verbier no fue simplemente bueno, fue realmente bueno. And what he did in Verbier was not merely good, was really good. Muy, muy bueno, casi imposible. Very, very good, almost impossible.

LA. Más que yo, casi como Pantani, que subía mejor que yo y que en aquel Giro escalaba a casi 2.000 metros por hora. More than me, almost like Pantani, who climbed better than I and that Giro climbed to almost 2000 meters per hour.

Boy it didn't take long, now did it.

ASSHAT!!

What an absolute wimpy fuckwit that guy is. Talk about a low class trailer park mentality. I guess Radio Shack is a perfect sponsor. Now all he has to do is get Schlitz Malt Liquor or Pabst Blue Ribbon, and his sponsors will equal his whole gestalt.

I would have never thought a guy who won 7 tours could be such a loser.

No the completely CLASSLESS and beyond IRONIC statement was about Contador's climbing being "almost impossible." He and everyone else with half a brain knows PRECISELY what he is saying there. For him to put that on the table is just pure gutter trash. Its like Pol Pot commenting on Stalin murdering so many people. UNBELIEVABLE.

I hope somewhere, you guys are all lighting into Lemond for his CLASSLESS statements today, he goes so far as to accuse Contador of doping. Not sure I read that in this statement.

That is either because you have not followed cycling long enough to know that specific type of statement has been made by many regarding doping in cycling, or you just don't want to accept what Armstrong just said.

I haven't read Lemond's statements, but I can tell you this. Contador wasn't even breathing hard at the top of the climb today. My problem isn't casting aspersions at Contador's performance, it is who did the casting in this case. Again, that takes more balls that we all know he physically has.

Hmmm... since 1997, the Lance Armstrong Foundation has raised more than $250 million to support people affected by cancer. What have you done for anyone other than yourself

So fucking what. I have known more people with cancer than you have friends. I worked for years for an organization whose sole focus was children with cancer. I lost two friends to cancer, one at 19 an the other before he was 27. What the fuck have you done ***? I realize that being a Uniballer fan makes you an expert on being a douche, but maybe you shouldn't try being Mrs Cleo?

There are some who insist Contador has not been a good teammate, which champion in their right mind would fall for the coup d’etat against you. Why should you be okay with someone who is throwing a monkey wrench on your tour win? It was obvious from the comeback announcement that Armstrong and Bruyneel brain stormed another tour win for Him(Lance), and that during the tour they were going to try anything to get him the win. Look at the Astana riders who made the tour team, it’s all of Armstrong’s henchmen. Bruyneel has tried to put the brakes on Contador and than critizied his attacks on his rivals because Armstrong can’t keep up, and has made Lance look weak. Bruyneel can care less about Kloden getting dropped, He is only concerned about Lance’s placing, and he knew Contador’s attack on stage 17 had affected LA’s GC placing.

Sorry, but that's just delusional.

a) nothing was ever going to derail Contador's win, period, end of story. He's the best bike rider on the planet, bar none.
b) I'd hardly call Kloden, Zubeldia, etc Lance's "henchmen." They have no history. In fact, Kloden has far more reasons to dislike than to want to ride for Lance.

Yes, the situation in the team was terrible. But, has Contador ever shown any respect for a 7 time winner on his team? Nope. Personally, I would have rather seen LA come back somewhere else and avoided the soap opera, but it is what it is. JB got his team exactly what the sponsors probably asked for. They dominated the race, they dominated the TV coverage, and they dominated the press. Not bad for 3 weeks work. The rest is just gossip and garbage.

You seem to have plenty of time to be on the internet, how 'bout you throw in some research time to be armed with facts, other than nonsensical drivel. See what they truly fund, then come back when you have your head out of your a$$

I'm a fanboy and think JB is protecting Contador from isolation, bonking, and drunk cycling hooligans.

I'm a hater and think LA is an axe murderer and that JB is reigning in Contador so he doesn't cause an explosion in the group an knock LA out of the top 5.

Both of us think Live to Eat needs to go for a ride. Soon.

I doubt that you are telling the truth, but if you are, I am sorry to here about your mother and I hope she is OK.

You should consider getting professional help for your anger management issues. It is scary to think that you would be allowed to have contact with any children, let alone children with cancer.

Not that it would matter to someone like you, but my mother (now passed away) survived breast cancer, my father has had various types of skin cancer, and three of my grandparents died from cancer. I would never say "so bleeping what" about someone who is trying to help fight cancer, no matter how big their ego is. I don't feel the need to waste my time explaining what I have accomplished in my life to the world, and certainly not to someone like you. Besides, I could just make things up like you do on this forum.

Again, you really should think about getting some professional help. Have a nice day ;)

It's funny to see how every time Lance pulls one of his trademark asshole moves the fanboys run to defend him highlighting his work against cancer. Just because he is a good philantropist doesn't mean he is not a prick or a shitty teammate or both.

As for me, well, you're the *** who shot his mouth off about something he knows fuck all about. Then again, you have nothing to say that I haven't read from hundreds of seasonal, chamois sniffing, uninformed fanboys, so nothing new there.

Dude, this is a cycling forum. Find some support group to share your family's medical history with. This is not the place for it.
