Actually it has everything to do with British Cycling, who have as yet not thrown the necessary money and putting the TT champs a) on closed roads and b) midweek in June in line with the other championships. You can blame the CTT all you want, but the TT champs as it stands is a joint promotion, where BC does little other than provide commissaries

Probably so. I just couldn't resist a snipe at the CTT.;)

If they had it all their own way, we would likely see them being held up the A1...

No doubt if BC were the only 'governing body' the champs would be in June. Sad state of affairs to be honest.

I just did a double take. That is a ridiculous profile.

Will there be any tv coverage?

Might try and see if I can catch a stream of the Italian or Spanish RR.

The vertical scale there is ten times what it should be. Bos FTW.

I don't think so.

True it is never very steep. But 18 laps of that, 243km, it will be a small group or a solo attack or something of that nature.

Terpstra to back-to-back win.

April would be hard with all sundays having a classic on them and then Romandie. In late June there aren't many races to compete with.

I wasn't serious. I just meant form wise for them it would be perfect :p

I just find it funny ACF could possibly think a Belgian national championship would take place in April :p

That's excellent though. I don't know why you don't see more profiles like that. (Dutch RR)

Boom has to be the favourite, he won before on the exact same course. Plus Rabo won't let this happen again ;)

Wouldnt mind to see Gesinkwin, but Boom would do fine too and is probably alot more suited for this profile :p.

If Van Hummel can win I would bet Bos winning it. He's better sprinter and also can win sprint from smaller group.
Van Hummel almost won the nationals two years ago, from a breakaway. He's definitely a more complete rider than Bos (and yes, that says more about Bos than Van Hummel).

But please, let neither of them win. I'd like to see the jersey up front in the bigger races.

Funny news item on sporza.be:

Today most Belgian riders ride "Halle-Inooigem" to prepare for the championship on sunday.
Most foreign teams with few Belgians however, don't participate here, so Nuyens (Saxo), Van Summeren & Eijsen (BMC), Goddaert (AG2R) Wynants (Rabo) & Claeys (Netapp) will all start the race in a Belgian National Team jersey, supported by Belgian Bondscoach Bomans :D

The Estonian National Road Race is happening right now, just thought to keep all of you up to date in this, so keep watching this post, gonna update it regularly.

8.42 forum time: So 190km and about 70km is covered so far. 4 men leading: Kangert, Jõeäär, Jakin and Puusepp and 11 men chasing with Taaramäe doing most of the work. The gap is 1.05 and steadily coming down. Other guys have been dropped long behind.
9.04: The group is together and Taaramäe and Kangert are really pushing it, would be great to get even 15 finishers with this pace.
10.19: After about 140km the situation is pretty much the same: Taaramäe and Kangert setting the pace, but nobody has been dropped, 24 riders are still continuing.
10.58: About 25km to go and the top bunch splitted by the attack of Taaramäe. The group that will decide the winner: Taaramäe, Kangert, Jõeäär, Jakin, Puusepp, Ojavee and Schultz
11.29: About 5km to go and Ojavee attacked, he reached 22 seconds over the other 6 by km 4
11.31: And Mart Ojavee (Team Champion System) wins it
11.32: Second Puusepp, third Kangert, 4th Schultz, 5th Jõeäär, 6th Taaramäe and 7th Jakin

Will give you the full results ASAP
