why Rabo is chasing?? They think that Bos can lose the sprint??

More Like Westra would ride off before the end. The race isn't totally flat.
Bos wouldn't win.

Boom or one of the other stronger rabo riders are a much better bet.

meh it's mot like the competition are specilists in classics or anything. I would actually give spartacus the tough course plays into his hands.

A team with numbers like BMC is what can kill his chances.

From what I can make out, in the French race the breakaway consists of:

Haddou, Hurel et Le Floch (Europcar), Pineau, Bonnet et Gérard (FDJ), Lemoine et Martias (Saur-Sojasun), Bérard, Houanard et Krivtsov (AG2R-La Mondiale), Bagot et Cusin (Cofidis), Bacquet (BigMat-Auber 93) et Blain (Endura Racing) et Gaël Malacarne (Bretagne-Schuller).

about a 1 minute gap

Bos & Van Hummel have decided to no longer cooperate with the break and are no longer doing turns. Gap hangs around 2 minutes.

All together?

Meanwhile in Belgium...

Not much going on here yet, 10 minutes before the TV feed starts. CXer Bart Wellens off on his own, presumably just to show the jersey. Bartje has 2". High average speed so far reported by Sporza. :)

Mario Aerts has abandoned in his first race back since the heart thing.

Will it be on Sporza? or VTM ?

Couldn't say for sure, dude. :) Probably Sporza - they're covering it by text at the moment but TV should start around 14h. Being a foreigner Brusseleir, I'll be watching it on RTBF for the commentary. My NL is still too poor. ;)

Evelyn Arys won the ladies' title earlier, here in Belgium. Only 20 years old!

14:09 GMT+1 : Wellens now has 5 minutes on the peloton.

RTBF now reports that they will be live at 15:00 GMT+1. In the meantime, we have commercial radio direct from the roadside: "So, Madame X, how long have you been interested in cycling?" Grrrr!

Theo Bos, Laurens ten Dam, Robert Gesink, Steven Kruijswijk, Pieter Weening (RAB) Joost van Leijen, Lieuwe Westra (VCD), Kenny Van Hummel (SKS), Cornelius van Ooijen, Rene Hooghiemster, Boy van Poppel en Jeroen Janssen.

Have about a minute gap

In Ireland, there's an extremely strong 9 man break nearly two minutes ahead of a chase group. It contains all of the big names in the race (Martin, Roche, Deignan, Brammeier and riders from An Post Sean Kelly and Giant Kenda), so perhaps would be better described as a "selection" rather than a break.

Basically, the professionals dropped the domestic riders and are now heading off into the distance.

At the end of 8th (out of 15) lap: 3'15" lead
