Cadel will never win:(... he's too "lazy"

Ah well,
the guy's building up for the Tour, as is Contador.
The diffrence today might have been that Evans looked like he could've gone faster up the mointain whereas Contador looked like he was not really compftable and lucky to stay with the group.

It would have been ideotic on Evans or Contadors part to push the limits on the climb or in the DL in general. They'd not complain about winning it of course but only for a cheap price.

Nice ride by Fuglsang and Gesink. Im really looking forward to Gesinks first TdF.
Really nice ride by Millar as well, but I don't see him haning on on his good GC spot untill the end of the DL. There's a huge diffrence for a lot of riders beween riding one big mountain and riding 2 or 3 big mountains.

Yes, very class act. It's still the thing that amazes me about this sport.
The double take Valverde took when he saw Szmyd had come back to him was beautiful.

As it turns out there was no mechanical.

Szmyd said; "As I was almost sure to win, I became stressed out. I had the feeling I might throw up. My legs simply stopped. I told myself, 'you have to do it'. Eventually, I caught Valverde who behaved as a lord of cycling"

That's so... cute.. :D

So used to helping others that he had to force himself to win.

There is still some good aspects to the professional cycling code.

Although Szmyd quote sounds pretty funny. Why was he reaching down when he slowed and flaping his arm around?

You complain more than anyone else on this board. Do you need more fiber in your diet? Maybe a hug?

Backstedt on Cycling.tv is good at identifying who's on form and tactics. Knows all the current riders from direct experience. Sense of humour, too.

Today: still think Evans is looking more explosive than he was last year. LOL, he'll need it vs. Bertie C. in Tour :D

Contador: showing some more cards.

Millar: terrific he's back on form.

I just want to say it is really nice to see Timothy Duggan in 38th overall. Glad he is really getting back after his horific crash last season.

David Miller riding super up these climbs, bet he's looking for a good showing at the tour - stage win similar to Gerrans last year in a later mountain stage.

Evans is certainly showing form, a real chance for the tour win maybe, Contador doesn't look fantastic but I still see him coming into the TDF as clear favourite.

Cadel Evans will get spanked like the petulant snot nosed child he plays. Aside from my utter distain for the lad, I dont see Lotto having a team that can drag his sorry behind to the top spot on the podium. I'm sure his dropping Contador today made up for Valverde dropping him.

I love the way the Eurosport guys pronounce his name - Cattle...

Stage 7 - June 13: Briançon - Saint-François-Longchamp, 157km

Stage 7 - June 13: Briançon - Saint-François-Longchamp, 157km

Who is going to go for it tomorrow?

Will Valverde have the legs to stay up there? Or will Contador show his hand and go for the win? Will Evans ATTACK  Can Millar and Gesink maintain their great form?

Ooh it's going to be a thriller :D :D

Is it just my (wrong) impression, or is Evans going on a higher cadence than he used to in the last years?

I think it might be a little higher. He looks like he might have it in him physically to attack. Whether he has it in him mentally to do so remains a question.

In the past when climbing he always looks like a person with a severe bout of constipation battling it out with the porcelain throne.

I also think he wasn't under as much pressure and was riding within himself almost, certainly had a nice cadence though.

im pleased for david, but dont confuse things like ventoux on an 8 day race, with a relatively easy run up, with ventoux after climbing four other mountains, at the end of a 3 week race..

chuffed for david, but i think we will see both him and brad back in maybe not the gruppeto in the tour, but a fair few minutes behind...

I thought yesterdays stage was pretty damn good allround...I mean don't get me wrong, Contador and co are all warming up nicely as he himself proved at the end of the stage...but I personally don't think the true intentions of any of them will be shown for a couple of weeks yet...:D

Cadel's twitter says nothing broken!

I scanned that post really fast and read it "Cadel's twitter is broken."

Then I thought to myself, "So, THAT's the problem."

Commentator on cycling.tv just said Robert Gesink can put out 7 watts/kg..

I've read before it's very high, but.... Anyone?

NB: not a doping aspersion here, just that I've never heard of one so high.
