GO VINO GO! :D:D

PS: I think Rabo CT could do well in the overall, Tejay will be interesting.
Dessel could repeat his 06 win.

Nice to be back and find a thread running on this.
See Astana can manage to field a Kazakh, even with the national squad under Vino's wing.
Next up Kash.

I was wondering where you had been... Escaping the July frenzy? Good to see you again!

Stage 3A (morning)
vignette_Profil_Pro_Etape_3A_0609.jpg

Stage 3B (afternoon, short 13.5K ITT)
Tuesday should be an interesting day. Were it not for the afternoon ITT, Wednesday looked to have been the big day, but...

A mountain stage with an uphill finish, then followed by a TT? I love it.

Anyone else think Horner wants to show how stupid it was leaving him out of the Tour?

ASO could never do that during the Tour. That is one brutal day.

Quite right, after a break away:

1)Turpin
2) Horner
3) Moncoutie
4) Rein Taaramae
5) Greg van Avermaet

Shame, as they used to have split days in the Tour - they tried it in the Giro a couple of years ago and, guess what, the riders complained it was 'too hard' and they amended the stage. So don't necessarily lay the blame at the organisers door.

For my money, this is how they should run all the TTs in the GTs - short, sharp and brutal after a road stage.

Yeah, easing my way back in, while tackling all those post vacation jobs.
So, posting less frequently, at the moment.

Seems like another interesting stage, today. Nothing like a short, sharp, roller for a successful breakaway.
Looking at that composite, we have climbers and sprinters all in the mix.
Good stuff.

It's like a blockhaus, short stage (129K) and long tough ascent... Can Horner withstand the attacks that'll surely happen there...

that's incorrect. He lost the stage by 37 seconds.

Horner, who rides for Astana, had started the 128.2km fourth stage in Belley with a 22-second lead on Taaramae but the American failed to defend his lead finishing 37-seconds behind his Estonian rival on the stage.
