Farrar had to hit the brakes when he tried the inside line going into the corner then after the corner he seemed to get tangled up with his leadout man Dean. He lost a good 5-10 lengths right there. He has to ride a perfect sprint just to finish on Cav's wheel. Maybe next year boys.

Tyler was saying they came up a guy short in the leadout. Not sure why they didn't use Wiggins. He would seem like an obvious choice to help in that situation.

Wiggins was probably at the back with Contador and all, making sure to not be involved in a crash... Can't blame him.

And Cav just complained in his interview that he would have won green without the disqualification - he won 6 stages and he still complains...

I must have missed that. I didn't hear him do any complaining at all. On the contrary, he was full of praise for Thor as a mate both on and off the bike, he said that the 'incident' was one of those spur of the moment things and that they had quickly put it behind them. They deliberately did a little sprint together on the Ventoux as they had ridden up together. There was a final shot of Cav patting Thor on the back as he went by. He also said that if Tony Martin hadn't used up so much energy dragging him up the last mountain the day before, he might have had enough left to win yesterday.

I honestly sensed more humility than arrogance.

Keep em coming Cav! Farrar is delusional if he thinks he will get the better of Cav in a straight fight, keep making them excuses Tyler.
If some on here are fed up with Cav winning already then you are in for a tough time because its frightening how much he can win by the end of his career. Get used to it.

EDIT: It seems the two Garmin that tried to infiltrate on the right on Place de la Concorde kinda messed up the last turn and cut Thor (and the rest) from the wheel of Cavendish.

That's precisely how I saw it, too. I was surprised no one hit the barrier on the left. I think most of the guys behind Renshaw and Cav had to touch their brakes there for just a little.

Get used to nothing, but change. Just as Cav came from seemingly nowhere in a few years . . . so will someone else. Enjoy the present moment, it's all you'll ever have.

Armstrong could be happier . . . but champions don't like not winning. Andy didn't look too elated either. They are bike racers . . . not poster-boys for self contentment!

This is obviously your first year following the sport. Noone is invincible. Cav is young and incredibly good, but it doesn't mean someone might not be better nest season. It happens every year... someone new comes along and everyone says they are unbeatable, and then they fade the next year.

It could be perfectly possible that other talents would rise in sprinting. There are also many things that can happen to racers outside of a race (injuries and such). But it is true: Cavendish is still young, he was -no contest- the fastest man of the pack and had the best team around him for that. Congrats for his 6 wins, a pretty impressive number.

Delusional? Hmmm. . . . join the club.

Does this mean Cav in going to win like this for the next 10 years? Was your uncle was Nostradamus?

they were talking about assembling a team, that Armstrong was a master doing that.

Then they said that Contador was probably not intelligent enough to do that. That kind of commentary is what drives me nuts, the bunch of unbiased tosseurs.

and then they went on to talk about the greatness of the team (AST), which, in their minds, was actually a continuation of US postal and discovery...

It was the most disrespectful commentary I've ever seen. He said that Contador doesn't have Lance's intelligence . . . then he said that Contador and Schleck don't have the intelligence to form a team so next year advantage Armstrong.

Just pathetic.

Well Tour's over. Despite this year's was lil weird, I still, as always, feel kinda sad its already the end. It was great to see Paris again, wonderful city, brings good memories.
On the other hand I feel very optimistic, and Im lookinm forward to all the changes that will happen - transfers, new teams, new sponsors, new shirts and stuff.
Hats off to Cav, hats off to Contador.

Hats off to Cav, hats off to Contador.

I also feel a little verklempt at the end of each Tour, the closing music of the Vs coverage makes me a little wistful. I'm really excited about the future and all of these young guys making their mark. I'm ready for some new blood, new faces. Can't wait to see where Contador ends up.
