Cancellara emulating Chris Boardman by taking shorter stronger pulls instead of longer slower ones and thus destroying his team.

If he keeps it up Saxo will lose a heck of a lot of time today.

Is it just me or do Phil and Paul sound like giddy school girls when they talk about Armstrong and Astana?

As Lances favorite Irish Journalist called them...FWT ...

Garmin can't afford to lose Ryder Hesjedal - he doesn't look too comfortable - left knee/leg popping out every from vertical every now and then..

Saxo very close to Garmin's time, with Cancellara doing nearly all the work. Too bad he can't go all out, cause he can't take the risk of dropping either Schleck. Andy could be doing a very good job today, putting lots of time into Evans and Menchov.

I don't think anyone saw that coming.

This TT will surely rewrite all the previous possible scenarios, and it will turn things around on Arcalis as well. Now it's Menchov and Evans who will have to attack, instead of Sastre and the Schlecks.

Agree, this will change the dynamics of the TdF. or better I Hope. Having gotten conditioned to tours that were decided in one climb and a TT and a half, I hope, this year, that some of the contenders will actualy make the lives of the strongest team(s) miserable...Instead of the eternal communal tourist ride to the top...

Astana tied for 2nd best time at 1st check. Man, Caisse was flying at the start!
