I actually think this year the ToC could have competed with the TdF...

Next year they should reduce it to a one week event, 1TTT, 1TT a mont Ventoux finish, and the remaining days are for Hushovd and Cavendish to battle out.

Next year it will be nineteen dead flat stages, one stage that is flat except for a final climb, and a procession stage into Paris.

I don't think Cav is there. Anyone know for sure?
Caisse is driving, so no Cav in peloton.

Vs. gives Hushovd's group as 'off the back'. Anyone has an actual time gap to the autobus?

Did Phil really wonder aloud if Lance will go for the victory? He's been remarkably bad today. Remarkably.

Group Garate Van de Broeck has been caught again

Thanks. I figures as moch.

So is this stage now as obvious as it looks? i.e. Freire vs Rojas.

No one else has a chance right?

What a joke!!!
So they have a Toumelet stage that a sprinter will win?? Why do they tinker with what spectators want to see (A mountain top finish)

Woke up expecting a stage of the Tour de France, ended up watching coverage of the front group in RAGBRAI...what a joke of a stage.

Yeah... must be in his Versus contract to use "Lance" and "winning" in the same sentence at least once every 30 minutes....

Paul's contract requires Armstrong to be mentioned at least twice every five minutes.

That 6 meters of climbing to the finish from 2K out is really going to sap the strength from the legs of the Tour contenders.

I see Armstrong jump over Contador there... Mountain top finish in the Pyrenees

That six meters will be the only climbing that is actually contested during this "mountain" stage.

Velonews says:

"We'll have to look through the archives to dredge up a stage that included the Tourmalet and ended in a freakin' field sprint."

Why Paul Sherwin mentions Armstrong so often

Because they look at this forum and realize how much it aggravates Brodeal & TFF so they keep it up.
