i dont see why not.. certainly millar, geraint, and danny lloyd should have been at least in the mixup with 30k to go if not strong enough to see it through.. for a team with nine riders we should at least be visible

Meh I'd be surprised if any of them got in the top 20 on a course like this.

great race.
Vino looks really good.

Classics riding, and the WC is essentially one of the toughest classics of the year, is a specialisation in and of itself. You can be a great time-trialist like Millar, and yet not be able to ride a good 250k+ classic to save your life.

Britain has great time trialists and sprinters and a few up-and-coming GC guys; even a couple of very good cobblestones riders, but Britain hasn't had an upper-echelon classics rider this decade.

Well that settles it, Cancellara's way too strong. When he attacks on the flat I'm not sure anyone will be able to latch on

I agree.
He looks fantastic. Cunego looks next best.
Gilbert could do it too.
And spain have 3 men, thats a big advantage

roger hammond...

2 podiums and a 10th in the last 5 years... but admittedly, today was far too hilly for him, but we have had a classics rider.. one of those 2nd places he was working for a team mate...

and im sorry, but when cancellara starts attacking on hills and dropping the likes of valverde, evans and cunego... cripes
